"You can't love an Asura, Arthur! You'll get yourself caught or worse; killed!!" My mothers voice trembled as she pleads with me, begging me to stay away from the only being that brought me...happiness.

"I'm not just going to abandon her—"

"What you feel is simply infatuation! Our kind can't feel love, we aren't meant to!!" She cuts me off abruptly, tears falling from her golden eyes as her face reddens from anger.

"Then tell me, why are you crying??"

"I...Arthur—"

"If we aren't meant to feel anything besides lust, why are you so angry with me? Why are you crying for me?? As a matter of  fact—why are you still with dad?" I questioned, tears of my own forming as my father stands up and glares at me in warning. My mother fell silent as she watches me with wide teary eyes.

"There are soo many emotions and feelings we aren't. Supposed. To. Feel. Yet here we are! The history of our kind is either all lies, or we are just evolving to be more like our 'prey'. Either way, I can't leave her because I love her and I won't let you take that away from me." I continued before my father cut in.

"If you leave this realm, you cannot come back." He threatens with narrowed crimson red eyes, his face twisted in displeasure and mild worry.

"—Agrona!"

"...Then so be it." I turned away, storming out of the room and letting the paths of aether carry me to wherever they would lead me.

I couldn't find it within myself to turn back once I left the realm in which I lived for so long. Not a single regret plagued my mind, nor did I feel remorse for the only people in my life that took care of me.

If they are so caught up in the past, and the old knowledge that limits the rest of us, then I'll let them wallow in it. There's nothing I can do for people that don't want the truth. Ignorance is blissful, but it is a damning thing.

Finally coming to a stop, I look at my surroundings. Finding myself on a familiar grass covered cliff. The full moon above glimmers in the lake far down below that casts a brilliant silvery light in the woods around it. The night air held a breeze that somehow put my racing mind at peace.

'Even if I wanted to go back, I can't now.' I thought to myself with an outward sigh.

"Why the long face, Art?" A gentle, sweet voice echoes from behind me, and I felt my shoulders go lax. Turning around, my eyes met the bright eyed, silver haired beauty I'd been spending so much time with.

"...It's nothing for you to worry about." Even though my voice is steady, she could tell the forced smile I gave didn't reach my eyes.

"Don't give me that. What did I tell you about hiding from me? You aren't alone, so don't shoulder your burdens by yourself. It makes me feel unneeded and useless." She lightly chastised, flicking my forehead while giving me the most breathtaking smile I'd ever seen. I felt my heart race in my chest as I gazed at her.

"..I..had a fight with my parents. I left the realm and I can't go back. They wanted me to leave you, Tess...and I can't do that." I explained as we both sat on the soft, grassy ground.

"Why can't you go back? Don't you want to make amends?" She asks with an innocent glimmer in her eyes. That innocence, that pure light in her mind and body is what drove me to do any of this in the first place.

And I don't regret it at all.

"My father closed the gates to the realm. Nothing can come in, nor go out. Those gates don't open for two centuries once they are closed, and only my father can open them before those two centuries have pasted." Tessia's eyes widen as she takes in the information, her kind smile falling into a worried frown.

"Then...what will you do? The realm of the lessers isn't going to sustain you, Art! What were you thinking??" She cries out as intense worry practically pours from her in waves. I shook my head with a small chuckle, smiling at her concern filled eyes.

"I wasn't going to just leave you. I don't care what happens at this point. I just don't want to be without you."

"Arthur! Let me go—LET ME GO!" I could hear her scream as she struggles against the unbreakable hold of her kin.

Everything that could've possibly went wrong, went so terribly wrong.

I'm starting to think my parents are prophets of something.

"Tess, it's okay. Don't fight them." I smiled, knowing what was to come next as both of us are pushed along the isle, until both of us stood in front of our parents.

The chains that cling to me like second skin rattled as I walked until I came to a stop. The men that kept me in their tight grasps finally letting me go as I kneel in front of the four godly beings before me.

My mother and father, lady and lord of the underrealm. Tessia's parents, one of the few royal families of the heavens.

"You foolish child. Not only did you abandon your realm, one in which you are the heir to, but also decided to fraternize with your given enemy in the realm of lessers." My father, Agrona Vritra glares down at me from his place at the podium. He and my mother stood to the left of the court, while the Eraliths stood to the far right. Neither of them even looking at one another. All the while, the shadow of the overseers of both realms, Lord Indrath, towered over them all with silent dominance.

"My child, your actions cannot go without punishment. You may be royalty, and my child nonetheless, but you are still a subject of our realm. A realm in which you have willingly deserted." Merial Eralith, Tessia's mother stood tall, but the tears streaming down her face contradicted the strength in her voice.

"Let the sentencing begin." Lord Indrath's baritone voice booms over all the rest as he stands from his place on his throne.

"Arthur Vritra and Tessia Eralith, you both are hereby banished from your respective realms. Merial Eralith, Alduin Eralith and Virion Eralith, you three are hereby stripped of your royal status, and are to be banished from the heavens for the related offense of the two perpetrators actions.

Arthur Vritra, you shall be sealed away in the depths of the tombs for three centuries. Tessia Eralith, your powers are to be stripped from you, and you will be put to death for your actions." My eyes widen as he finishes, my ears ringing loudly as I slowly looked over at Tessia.

While her family is forced away from the podium above, she is pushed to her knees. I could feel myself screaming, thrashing against clawing hands and the cold chains that tightened around my form with my every movement, yet I couldn't hear anything. Couldn't feel anything besides the gnawing dread and the high pitched ring that pierced my ears.

Despite not being able to hear a single thing around me, as she turns to look over at me, smiling with tearful eyes, I could hear her words loud and clear.

"We'll meet again...I promise."

A long sword, engraved with runes cuts through her body in an instant as I fell to my knees. For the first time in my entire existence, I let my tears fall.

My vision tunnels as I watch the sword that pierced her, dislodges from her body, while she falls limply to the ground below.

I watched in agony as her body glow a white hue as she slowly starts to flake away.

All the while, the chains constrict and start to glow in amethyst light, before I too, faded away in a cluster of golden runes..
