Her eyelids fluttered slowly, to be greeted by the mild daylight coming through her curtains. The temperature fell down and it was freezing. She's feeling a little better now, but she wants to stay in her warm and comfortable bed a bit before facing the day.

Memories of last night flashed back and she immediately got up to be only acknowledged by her empty apartment and crumpled blankets on her couch. She somehow expected at least a note from him before leaving, but there wasn't any and that made her feel a little bit sad.

She quietly folded the blankets along with her shirt that Calum borrowed. They smelled like him; body spray and her strawberry fabric conditioner. Her thoughts suddenly corroding in her brain why'd he left without telling her. She did not understand why people kept on leaving her without any goodbye or warning. Maybe because he let him sleep on the couch or her toothpaste sucks, or he saw something bad around here that cause him to leave. It is only 7:30 in the morning, so he must've left very early.

After putting the used items in the laundry, she lazily re-heated the left over spaghetti and made herself a hot chocolate for this cold morning. She charged her phone before taking out the food. She did expect something last night; Calum greeting her good morning with a grin on his face, and asking if she's feeling better then he, re-heating this spaghetti on his own and questioning her what drink she would want and she'll sleepily answer hot chocolate. But unfortunately she was eating alone, one arm rested on the cold marble. She doesn't know why she did that but sure it made her felt giddy and looking forward on waking up everyday.

The library was insanely quiet when she got there.

"Maddie?" She shouted, nothing. "Olivia?" still, nothing.

She quickly checked her phone, hoping for some info why there isn't any single person in the library right now. Even Toby, the guy who always go here to "read" some books with her girlfriend.

There wasn't any texts from Olivia nor Maddie so she just started to unpack all the newly delivered books and stack in their rightful places. The silence and the lack of human body in the library scared her. The daylight isn't that bright due to snowing, and mostly she is alone. She tried to shoo the horror stories Maddie once told her about this particular room in this old building. She found herself looking at her back every book she placed on the shelf and it's making her paranoid. She isn't a big fan of horror movies or anything related to it because she's a total scaredy cat.

After stacking the books, she went back to her position, in the front desk and busied her self with filling up cards and stamping books that have been returned. Then she remembered Olivia told her to put away all the worn books in the storage room. The thought of going into that dimly lit room send shivers to her skin. She mentally groaned but she picked up the box and made her way to the room. She turned all the light that she could and placed the box near to the doorway. She sighed when she got out of the room. She need to fix these issues and stop being a wimp. She is silently reading some name on the cards, (she has this fascination about names) on her way back when she bumped into someone.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Don't murder me!" She screamed on the top her lungs, dropping the cards she was holding.

"Hey!" The man talked, "Hey! It's me, it's me." She instantly recognized that voice, but her breathing won't slow down and her hands were shaking aggressively.

"Inhale, exhale." He put his hand on her back, helping her to regain composure. She clutches her chest following his command to breathe. Once she can breathe normally, she started slapping Calum's arm.

"You fucking scared me to death!" She ranted as the slaps continued to hit his arm. "You could've shouted to warn me!" He grabbed her wrist to stopped her from causing anymore damage.

"I'm sorry! I just came here for something." She was panting from slapping. "But you should've seen your face!" Calum started laughing, which earned him a glare from Fray.

"It's not funny Calum! I could've died from cardiac arrest you dipshit. And I hate you go away." She shove him but he didn't move an inch, she picked up the cards.

"Madeline texted me to inform you that Olivia told her yesterday that you are fired." Calum said with the most serious face he could manage.

"WHAT? No!"

"Kidding! She said that you don't have to attend your shift today because of the weather." Fray frowned and started hitting Calum's chest this time.

"You are such an asshole I hate you don't go near me." As she gathered her things and shove them into her bag. She was beyond annoyed with Calum right now and she wants to get away from his guts as soon as possible.

"No you don't." He plopped his elbows on the counter and rest his chin on his hands.

"Yes I do, especially when you left my house without any warning. " She mumbled, slunging her bag. "Now if you mind, I need to lock up." Fray makes her way to the door, but failing as Calum grabbed her arm, embracing her. He radiated heat through Fray's body, which made her feeling all fuzzy and warm.

"I am sorry, really. For scaring you and leaving. Please don't be mad at me." He mumbled against her dark blonde, strawberry smelling hair. Her expression changed right away, from frowning to grinning ear to ear.

"I'm not mad, I am just," She paused trying to find the right word. "Upset."

"Well, please don't be upset. I don't want you to be upset." Calum replied, still not breaking the hug.

"Okay, I'm not upset anymore."

"No, you are still upset, I can hear it your heart. It said "Fray is still slightly upset at Calum." The truth is he just want to hug her longer, it just felt right.

"You just like the feeling of my boobs on your chest don't you?" She bravely said, making Calum turn scarlet but still not breaking the hug.

"True." He smirked and pulled away. Fray instantly missed the warmness of his body, but managed to roll her eyes.

"Are you feeling better now?" Calum asked, pressing the "G" button of the elevator.

"Obviously. Cal, can I ask a question?"

"Sure, what is it?" Fray checked her phone once more to confirm she didn't get any messages from either Olivia and Maddie.

"Do you know why Maddie texted you, instead of me?" She put her phone back in her bag.

"Oh, she said she deleted all of her contacts accidentally and strangely, mine wasn't included." Calum answered.

"Oh, okay." She shrugged still feeling strange about it.
