It's just another awkward day in the library.
Hesitant stares from Maddie, confused looks from Olivia. The library has never been this silent since, the only sound you can hear is from the heels of of their shoes, the hinges of the doors when someone gets in, books being dropped and occasional phone ringing. I don't know why Mads is acting this way, I mean, yeah I saw her naked with Calum so what. They aren't doing something wrong, they're just hormonal teenagers, nothing to be shocked about since this is fucking New York. She's still her semi best friend, when Michael is out of the town. And she's not talking me for two days.
"Mads," I tapped her back slightly and she slightly flinched. "Are you mad at me?"
Her face instantly turned into a confused one, "I thought you are mad at me?" She leaned on the library counter, now fully facing me. I didn't notice how her eyes looked so tired, until now.
"Seriously Mads, two and half years and you still don't know that 'mad' is not in the list of my programmed emotions." I held back a chuckle, realizing her name is 'Mads'.
"I am so sorry, are you okay with Calum now? I swear it's not what you think, please tell me you didn't break up with him." Now it's my turn to be confused.
"Mads what the heck, you think Calum and I are dating?" She slightly frowned, putting the books she is carrying to the counter to cross her arms.
"You are not dating? B-but..." She looks like she is about to face palm herself. "I am such an idiot." She laughed, and Fray joined her.
"But still, I still feel like I've ruined something what's in between you and him and I am really sorry. I shouldn't have done that." She said with all seriousness, "Let's go eat lunch, my treat."
Before I could protest she quickly dragged my hand as I slung my bag over my shoulders.

"Are you really sure there isn't anything going on between you and Calum?" She asked as she sipped from her iced tea. I shook my head."Yeah, that's why I am confused why are you giving me a silent treatment for two fucking days and I am stuck with my saliva being rotten behind the counter." She rolled her eyes knowing I was exaggerating. "What makes you think we're together though?" She don't know what happened, but asking that question made her stomach turn.
"It's so obvious that he's into you." She shrugged while taking a bite of her pesto.
"Why so?" She still haven't touched her food because of the sudden intriguing situation. "She slept with you, not me."
"Yeah about that. He was texting me ever since he got my number. But all he did was ask me about you, like what are your favorite flowers, midnight snack even emoji combination! We would stay up until three am just talking about you. Then he asked me to come over, I did for some reason. When I got there we ate ice cream, but he couldn't resist to ask more facts about you. I was annoyed because I felt like he was just using so I kissed him and things got pretty heated. I think he hated me after it, especially you walked in to us." Her mouth was slightly agape the whole time since Maddie mentioned her. As much as she tried to push the feeling away that is slowly forming like a hurricane in her stomach, she just couldn't. Why would Calum ask facts about her? And why ask Maddie and not her?
"But, but why did he ask you? Like he could've ask me." I stared at my own cold pesto, lost my appetite to eat.
"I asked him the same question and what he said is he was scared that you would think it was fluffy and it would weird you out. I tried convincing him but he still haven't got the nerve." She downed her ice tea, covering her mouth as she burped.
