**Kairi POV**

“Do you miss him?” Maria asked as we lay out on our boards, floating in the clear water.

“Of course, I miss him more and more every day. Seeing him is the only thing I want to do right now.”  I ran my hand along the top of the water, closing my eyes, remembering his eyes, and shaggy blond hair, his stomach. Dear Lord his stomach, I miss that.

“Have you Skyped or Face Timed him at all?”

“No, he’s been too busy to even text me. We did talk on the phone last week though, but that was for like five minutes because he had to get back on set for Austin and Ally.” I let out a sigh and sat up on my board.

“You’ll be able to see him again, dude.” She sat up on her board, and put a hand on, my shoulder. Maria has never been the one who is nurturing. Whenever I have a problem or issue in my life, she doesn’t give good advice or really anything for that matter. She’s more, of a listener than a speaker, and a good shoulder to cry on. I smiled at her.

“Hopefully, my dad said I could see him soon. Even though he said that like a month ago, I’m still holding him up to it.” I looked down at my hands, playing with my thumbs.

“Well hey, want to surf one more wave then go in for lunch?" I smiled over at her and nodded my head. I turned my board, to look out at the ocean and saw a nice wave forming. "You can get that one, I'll meet you on shore." Maria pushed my board towards the forming wave.

"Alright see you on shore." I lay down on my stomach and started paddling towards to forming wave.

"Don't fall in! I mostly likely won't save you!" Maria joked; I laughed to myself and gave her the hang loose sign. As I approached the wave I turned my board and started paddling away from the wave. I pushed up at the peak of the wave and dropped in, safely. I ran my hand along the inner wave; I could hear Maria yelling my name as I rode the wave until it ended. I jumped off my board and into the clear water.  Coming up, for a breath of air, I smooth out my hair and hope up on my board and started swimming to the beach.  I walked over to where our towels were laid out and dropped my board and took off my surf shirt, revealing my bikini top that Rydel gave to me. I patted down my legs and dried my hair as I looked out at the ocean. When I felt like someone was watching me, I looked to my left, then to my right and no one was there. I turned around to see the familiar blond shaggy haired boy.

It took me a second to actually get what was happening. How Ross was here in Hawaii, on the same beach I and knowing where I would be.

“Hey Kairi.” He smiled at me, sending butterflies off in my stomach. I dropped the towel I was holding and ran into his arms. I pressed my cheek against his chest and squeezed him tight.

“How are you here? When did you get here? Shit, you’re actually here! You understand how much I’ve missed you.” I loosened my grip around him and looked him in the eyes, he moved a strand of hair out of my face, cupping my face with his huge hands and leaned in kissing me on the lips.

I’ve missed his kisses, all I’ve been wanting is his him, and to actually touch him now is indescribable. I rested my hands against his chest, kissing his soft lips back. He pulled away and I opened my eyes to see that his were still closed; his kissing face is honestly the cutest thing.

“I’ve missed that.”  He finally opens his eyes, smiling at me; I smiled right back up at him. He moved his hands from my face and down to the arch of my back pulling me closer to him. I moved my hands up around his neck.

“You never answered my question.” I bit my lip, looking up at him.

“What question?”

“How did you get here? We haven’t talked in forever, or at least it seems like forever.”
