Chapter 16

- After School Ends-

So Eun stood in front of her locker and kept all her books inside and only took her homework. She closed her locker and turned to her right. There she saw Taehyung keeping his books. As she walked to where Taehyung is, he quickly closed his locker and walked pass her. "Yah." She called him, in a soft tone. He pretend to be not listening and just continued walking. 

From afar, Jeremy looked at the two of them. What happened to them? He thought and was about to go where So Eun is when Min A came. "Yah! What are looking at so long? I called you a thousand times but you didn't hear me." She hit my arm. "Sorry. Anyways, don't you think something is wrong with the two?" Jeremy asked, still looking at So Eun who is looking at Taehyung. 

"Oh! You noticed? I thought I was the only one. They didn't talked to each other too since just now. It seems like Taehyung is avoiding her." She answered me and looked at the two. 

- Taehyung's POV -

I seriously don't know why did I even brought her to the rooftop garden but it somehow just happened. I knew she asked me something but I only looked at the scenery. I was thinking, should I confess now or not? But if I do, I'm afraid that I won't be able to move on if she rejects me. I'm also afraid that it will ruin our friendship.

When I was keeping my books in my locker, I saw her coming towards my direction. When I looked at her, we made eye contact. So it seems like she wanted to talk to me. I quickly closed my locker and just walked away. When I walk pass her, I tried my best not to look at her. "Yah." I heard her calling me with her soft voice but I ignore her.

There's a reason why I am avoiding her. I wanted to stop my feelings for her. I want us to only be friends. I heard that JungKook confessed but got rejected. But they don't even seem awkward at all. 

- That night -

- So Eun's POV -

Here I am, lying on my bed. It's been 10 minutes since I sent a message to Taehyung but he still hasn't replied me yet. I'm still confused at why did he said sorry to me and why is he ignoring me. I have been checking my phone for the fourth time now but still no message at all. Then, I heard a knock on the door.

"Dinner's ready, So Eun-ah." I heard my eonni said after knocking. "I'll be downstairs in a minute." I said to her. Then, I checked my phone for the fifth time. Still the same. So, I just threw my phone on my bed and went downstairs.

After dinner and all the housework my mom asked me to do, I finally went back into my room. It's already 9 at night and I already am sleepy. I know that Taehyung still would not reply me but maybe, just maybe, he might at least tell me why right?

Then I checked my phone with full of hope that he would reply but nope. No messages at all. So I decided just to sleep after sending him a goodnight message.

- Taehyung's POV –

It's been 30 minutes since she texted me saying why am I ignoring her. But I haven't replied yet. I guess she realized that I have been ignoring her after bringing her to the rooftop. I just left my phone be. After an hour, another message came. Good night, Taehyung-ah. Sorry, Eun-ah. For ignoring you. But I have my reasons.

What is it? I just wanted to stop my feelings for her. Yeah, sure I wanted her to be my girlfriend but I don't think that will ever happen right? I heard that JungKook confessed but got rejected. But they don't even seem awkward at all.

- THE NEXT DAY -

- Min A's POV -

It's Thursday but we are having holiday today. I don't even know why. It just happened though. I already promised So Eun that I will help around the shop today so here I am outside the shop waiting for her. It's been 5 minutes already but she's not here yet. So I decided to took out my iPod and listened to some songs.

Suddenly, I felt someone in front of me. So I look up to see who is here. "You didn't tell me that you are coming. I could have walk with you here." He said and smile at me. "You didn't tell me you were coming too." I said to him while keeping my iPod in my bag. "You didn't ask." He stuck his tongue out. Jeremy Jeremy. I only smiled and shook my head.  

I know why he came too. He probably promised So Eun too. I guess he also like her, doesn't he? It's obvious isn't it? He would always walk with her and talk to her whenever I am not around. So Eun would always smile and laugh at his jokes too. Sometimes, I do feel jealous. But I know So Eun would not accept his feelings.

Why? She promised me that she would help me to be with him. Why again? He is my crush. Who? This boy who is now in front of me, looking at me. 

"Hey guys." I heard So Eun's voice so I turn to look. There she is, holding the key. "Eonni, Jo Eun oppa and Chansoo oppa are still taking the ingredients out from the car. So eonni told me to open the shop first." She said while unlocking the shop. "Did you guys wait long?"  She continued. "No, we just arrived." I said to her and enter the shop after it is unlocked.

So, we started to clean the shop first. Soon the three older ones came with the ingredients. Jeremy and I are in charge on cleaning the counter, Chansoo oppa and So Eun cleaning the floor while So Hyun eonni and Jo Eun oppa are cleaning the kitchen. After 30 minutes, the shop is finally opened. 

Chansoo oppa and I willl be in charge at the counter today so here I am already.It's just been 10 minutes since the shop opened but I already heard the bell rang. Too early for a cup of coffee or a slice of cake don't you think so? "Welcome to-" I was cut off when I saw who came. 

"Annyeong. 4 cups of cappuccino and 3 cups of latte. Also, 3 slices of chocolate cake and 3 slices of strawberry cake, please?" He smiled at me. What are they doing here this early? "Please sit. Your drinks and cakes will be served." I said to him after he paid.

- So Eun's POV -

"Eun-ah, table 8." I heard Chansoo oppa calling for me from the counter. "Yes!" I said back. Then, I took an apron and tie it around my waist before walking out of the worker's room. Then, I took the tray to the customer's table. Why are there so many drinks? 

"Here's your-" I stopped when I look at who ordered the drinks. "Oh, So Eun! You're the waitress today?" One of them said. "Umm, yeah." I awkwardly said and put their orders on the table. "Umm, 6 slices only?" I asked again as there were 7 of them. "Yeah, Suga hyung and I are sharing." One of them said again.
