36. Double take?

The exams are over now, no matter how your scores are, no matter if you failed or passed, the winter break has to come. So whether you have to stay at school with extra classes with a guilty feeling that you didn't study for the exam or go on vacation with relief because you got a high score. Me and my friends all got a nice grade, after days and nights studying like crazy the result made me proud of myself hehe...Today is the day when we gonna go to Jeju island, me and Changbin woke up at 5am because we have to start going early or else there will be bad traffic on the way to airport.

"So you're saying Hyunjin hyung is gonna come here?" - Changbin asked me when we were waiting outside of the apartment.

"Yes..."

"Then where are they?" - he said in an impatient way.

"They said they're on their way?"

"ItWe have waited 2 hours out here and it's very cold, okay? Ask them what "on their way" means? When is "on their way" actually explained? 3 more hours or 4 more hours?"

"I don't knowww...Yeji texted me that they almost came, okay? If you are cold then go inside the hall and sit there until they come."

"How bout you? You gonna stand here?"

"Yes, I like cold weather, you know that. I don't want to sit in that boring hall."

"..." - he just stood next to me without saying any words.

"What? What happened with the all of sudden silence?"

"Nothing."

"Go inside or you will freeze to death." - I rolled my eyes.

"Nooo, what if you get kidnapped by someone and I'm inside, don't know what happened. The sky still doesn't shine enough and it's winter break so not many people are here."

"Then don't complain, mom." - I rolled my eyes.

"Why mom?"

"You can be my mom, you're always nagging."

"No, I'm not, I'm just worried about you." - he said in a disbelieving voice but that made me laugh.

"Whatever, mommy." - I said and giggled.

"Very well, my child." - he began to play the role of a mom and padded my head.

After 5 more mins, Yeji and Hyunjin finally arrived with a taxi so we put our bags in the cab and went in. Yeji, me, Hyunjin sat at the back and Changbin at front with the driver.

"What took you guys so long?" - and ofc "mommy" has to interrogate their child.

"Well...not me, you should ask Yeji." - Hyunjin said and pointed to Yeji.

"What? I packed food for us. For you Changbin, I know you can't stand hunger." - she said.

"...Well, in that case, I forgive you guys." - he said and as soon as he turned back up we laughed in silence.

"How bout Seungmin and Innie?" - I said.

"Oh, their houses are far from us so they tend to go together." - Yeji said.

"...have you ever realized that we didn't really know much about them?" - Hyunjin asked in a mysterious way.

"Oh yeah, we don't know where they live, don't know their family and don't even know whether they have siblings or not." - Yeji said.

"Are we allowed to say this when they're not here?" - I feel a little wrong because we are their friends.

"Because they're our friends so we have to care about them and... don't you want to know?" - Hyunjin said but in the second verse he asked in a doubting way.
