Chapter 50 - BULLET TRAIN

The agency was in shambles. You clenched the strap of your bag and ran over to Burnin' who was basically shouting into a communication device.

"What happened?" You asked, visibly nervous. It had to be Enji. God you hoped he was okay.

Burnin' actively ignored the person on the line to give you a debrief. "Endeavor is currently trapped on a bullet train in close quarters with at least thirty assailants. Armed with guns. They're holding the engineer hostage. Train is traveling in circles and staying underground. We're unable to contact Endeavor through his earpiece."

As soon as you felt the bile rise up your throat, you knew you needed to calm the fuck down.

"Saiko."

The spirit touched your shoulder and you felt the panic dissappear, replaced by sheer nothingness. You took a breath.

"Give me your earpiece, your body camera and your GPS. I'm taking taking my support gear and heading there."

"(Y/N), you can't! Not on your own. You're too emotional."

"Do I look emotional to you?"

"I...no."

"Let me go. You can walk me through it. I could hold them off for a while or heal people if nothing else."

She pursed her lips and then nodded, removing her equipment and giving it to you as you put on your hero suit's belt and the choker.

"Be careful, (Y/N)."

You just nodded and rushed off, calling Arisu as soon as you were outside and flying to the train station.

The station was a swarm of activity. Law enforcement and heroes alike turned to look at you as you rushed to the platform, where Yagi was standing. He greeted you with a concerned frown.

"What the fuck, All Might?"

"The train passes this point every few minutes. That window is very small and I'm the only person who can brute force their way into the train. I still risk killing anyone in my way though and since we can't see the position if the passengers-"

"Then how the fuck is Enji in there on his own?"

"He jumped in last minute, just as the doors closed-"

"I'm going through the windshield," you stated, making Yagi reel back.

"You can't, you might kill the engineer-"

"Then I'll jump from the windshield and then onto the roof of the locomotive. I can carve a hole into it and drop down."

"And what about the criminal holding the engineer hostage. What if he gets killed during that time?"

You huffed a breath through your nose and grabbed some poor police officer's phone, typing in Yu's number.

"Hello?"

"Yu. Can I turn into you while I'm shirtless in front of a villain? I need to brainwash him."

"I'll ask questions later. Guess you've got no other choice now. Do it."

"Thanks Yu."

You tossed the phone back to the police officer and began taking off your shirt. Yagi cleared his throat awkwardly.

"I'm going now. Keep in mind I'm wearing an earpiece, All Might. I trust you'll provide strategic support if I need it."

He looked ready to argue but then nodded. "Okay. Please just...try and be as non-lethal as possible."
