Miles point of view:
Even since Kara had been murdered, I'd had a suspicious feeling towards Nina. She was the only person that had been with Kara when she was murdered, how did we know that Nina didn't kill Kara?
A few weeks later when everything had settled down, although we were still getting questioned by the police and detectives on Kara's murder, I invited Nina over to the field to have a meet up, late at night, when the only light came from a candle.
"Hey, how's it been going," Nina asked. We walked in sink, side by side, never daring to look one another in the eye.
"I've been alright, it's just a shock that I'm never going to see or hear Kara ever again," I replied.
"Yeah," Nina stopped short of her sentence.
"It's funny really isn't it," I began, "that in a large forest, spanning over one hundred miles of land, you and Kara were walking alone, and someone somehow happened to find you. And kill Kara? Now, doesn't that sound strange. Very uncommon indeed, I think." I stopped at this point and turned to stare at Nina straight in the eye.
"What do you mean by that?" Nina asked. I now held the bright, fiery candle up towards her face, so I could see every mood her face was betraying.
"I think that you, Nina Swincer, killed Kara!" I sternly said to her.
"What are you saying!!? You think that I killed Kara? Why the hell would I do that? She was my best friend! The only one who cared about me in this group!"
I walked up to her and began running my fingers up and down her arm, "oh, I care about you as well." A smirk ran upon my face, but Nina pushed my body away from hers and slapped my face. Blood spurt out of a large cut, slashed across the surface of my skin. I whipped my fingers across the cut, and left blood stained on my finger tips.
"You killed Kara! I just know it!" I yelled into her now tear filled face!
At that very moment, the candle blew out, and we were left in darkness.Silence filled the area and I tried to feel about for anything. I could no longer hear or see Nina and fear filled my body. Eventually, I placed my hand on something rather smooth and hairy. It felt like an arm, I grasped it tightly and was than pulled forward crashing into a body. A cold breath blew against the side of my neck and within seconds, a sharp blade, slit my throat and I fell to the ground, to remember only darkness.
