Kagaya ng nakasanayan ko ay maaga akong gumising. It's Monday again. It would be a long day today. Just a few weeks from now.. exam na.

After I finished getting ready for school, I quickly walked downstairs. Nang makababa ako ay naabutan ko si Dad na nakatayo habang inaayos ang kaniyang necktie. Agad siyang nag-angat nang tingin sa'kin ng maramdaman siguro ang presensya ko.

"Morning, Dad." Bati ko bago siya hinalikan sa pisngi.

"Morning." Tipid niyang tugon as he quickly looked at his watch on his left wrist.

"We need to go, anak." And as he said that, I quickly ran back to the living room to fetch my bag.

We arrived at the school more quickly than usual. Hindi naman ganun ka-traffic kaya mabilis lang.

I was about to open the door when Dad stopped me again. I looked at him confused.

"Why do you look so excited, Thea? May naghihintay ba sa'yo? Nevermind. I just forgot to give your allowance yesterday. That's why. This is your allowance for this week and next week. I'll be going abroad next week because I need to meet other investors, so I'm giving you this in advance." Mahabang paliwanag niya bago inabot sa'kin ang isang sobreng naglalaman ng pera. "Yes, anak. But don't worry, I already told your Tita Lavi about it. In case you don't want to stay at the house." Agad na turan niya. I sighed in relief. Dad really knows me well. Not that well though. But at least.

"Ohh okay. Thanks, Dad." I replied and smiled. After that, I got out of the car and entered the university.

Kagaya nang nakagawian ay nasa akin na naman ang atensyon na kahit kailan hindi ko pinangarap. At marami ding nagbubulungan. Hay nako! Mga marites talaga.
