Draco's POV:

Draco looked up to see Weasley staring at Hermione with puppy doe eyes, but that quickly changed into anger and hurt as he watched Draco hold onto her.

"Sorry," she softly apologized. He could see the tears beginning to well up in her eyes.

I could kill him right now.

"Come," he demanded, guiding her through the Great Hall to the Slytherins dining table. "You promised Theodore you'd join us for dinner."

She quietly obliged and let him escort her to where the gang was seated. She was stiff as a rock, but Draco blamed that on her nervousness instead of his touch.

Blaise was swirling his drink around, while Goyle stuffed his face beside him.

Theodore sat with his nose once again in a book. Draco sat Hermione in front of Blaise, and in between himself and Theodore.

Some of the Slytherins stared in bewilderment whilst Hermione shyly sat among them.

This was definitely uncommon. Dinner was a time for the houses to reconnect after a long day. But Hermione didn't really have anyone specific to reconnect with.

She was kind of like the black sheep.

"Ahh, you came," boomed Theodore as he looked up from his book. "Glad you can join us."

"Do I want to know why a Gryffindor is sitting before me?" Blaise murmured to the group.

Draco gave him a pointed look to shut him up. Hermione was already upset because of Weasley. He didn't need to give her another reason.

"Because she can, and I invited her," Theodore responded.

"Not you too," Blaise whined annoyedly.

"I can leave if you're uncomfortable," Hermione declared quickly.

"No!" Draco bellowed. "I want you to stay."

You want her to stay.

The simple request made her relax, which made him incredibly relieved.

"Whatever!" Blaise responded nonchalantly. He moved his attention to Theodore and said, "So, when does little miss perfect return from her trip."

"Why? Jealous you won't be able to have me all to yourself anymore," Theodore breathed.

"I like Alexandria," Hermione commented. "I think she's very humble and loyal."

That made Theodore grin from ear to ear.

"Ugh, don't get him started," Blaise added briefly.

"She is, indeed, all of those wonderful things. I just wish I was able to go with her."

"Why? So you can swoon all over her in front of her family? Get a grip will you, Nott," Draco added.

But Hermione nudged him to be quiet. He was surprised by the action, but kept quiet.

"I bet you really miss her," she wondered.
