Draco's POV:

He was swept into memory after memory whilst unconscious. It was inescapable.

He relived those horrifying moments between himself and Lucius: being forced to train until he could no longer stay awake, being beaten for failing, manipulated to being the Dark Lords executioner. Draco listened to Hermione's cries as his aunt tortured her for not giving up the information Bellatrix needed to prove her loyalty. He watched as the Dark Lord praised him, with that mocking smile, for being his ears at Hogwarts.

Over and over, Draco witnessed his toxic family hurt him. Relived his childhood that scarred him forever. That turned him into a monster.

Until he finally awoke, the light above him stinging his eyes as he squinted around to see where he was.

Flashes of yelling and screaming came to mind as Draco tried to comprehend where he was.

He tried to move, but his body ached. Especially his chest.

It was as though lightning had struck him.

Draco figured that that's what had actually happened.

"Draco," he heard from his side. He shifted slightly and saw Alexandria sitting by his bed in the infirmary.

She released a sigh of relief as she smiled at him. "Thank god," she said. "I thought you'd never wake up."

He wanted to talk, but his mouth was dry.

How long have I been unconscious for?

As if reading his mind, Alexandria retrieved a glass of cold water, and put the straw to his lips, letting him sip and quench his thirst. "You've been unconscious for three days," she told him. "After I shocked your heart, your body gave up after your Concealment charm. It was too much for your heart."

She sat back in her seat once he had finished, and began wringing her fingers together nervously.

"What happened?" He asked, his voice husky from days of not speaking.

She sighed sadly, looking up to the ceiling, avoiding his eye contact. "Blaise and Theo have been suspended on school grounds," she began telling him. "They've both been sent to the dungeons so that the board can decide their fates here. I've been restricted from seeing Theo."

Draco's heart seemed to race as he listened. He turned his head, looking away from her sad face.

This is bad.

He needed to do something.

"The investigation ended and Ron has been expelled from Hogwarts."

Draco whipped his head to her.

"Expelled?"

She nodded her head and said, "The verdict was not an easy one. But, he attacked another student who is under the protection of Hogwarts. It was unacceptable."

Draco was quiet as he listened to her.

He was dumbfounded.

He never thought that it would get to this, and this early in the school year.

"Many people were asked to testify for and against Ron's expulsion. Potter testified for Ron to be expelled. He said that he was endangering himself and the other students."

"He did?"

Alexandria nodded her head with a look of disbelief that matched his own. "Ron lost his mind when he did."

A sense of relief coursed through him at hearing this. Not only was he relieved, but he was astonished. Harry had kept his promised to him.

"What about Granger?" He quickly asked needing to know.
