Hermione's POV:

Hermione didn't know what to do or where to go. She felt utterly lost. The people she would usually confide in were the ones that seemed against her.

How could Harry think like that?

Out of all the people in the world, she thought that he'd understand Malfoy the most. He was used and exploited by almost every single person in his life.

She didn't think Harry would hate him forever, but now she's thinking that she might be completely wrong.

Hermione wandered the hallways of Hogwarts, silently suffering from the feeling of loneliness.

There was a part of Hermione that loved to be alone. It gave her time to think and learn.

But this feeling... it was devastating.

She felt like everyone was either against her, or expecting something she could not deliver.

It made her want to explode.

"Miss Granger?" Hermione heard from behind her.

She spun around to see Professor McGonagall walking towards her. "Professor."

"What are you doing out so late?" She asked worriedly. "You should be in bed."

Hermione didn't have an answer. She felt like the whole world was weighing on her shoulders and it made her want to burst out in tears.

But she needed to keep herself together. There were more important things than Ron and Lavender.

"I was actually just heading to my dorm." Hermione tried to turn but the Professor wasn't having it.

"Miss Granger, I am quite worried about you."

Hermione didn't answer.

Everyone seemed worried about her, and she was starting to get sick of it.

"I am quite fine, Professor. I'm just tired is all."

"Why don't you come with me to my office? I have a letter from the Council that is addressed to you."

Hermione stared at the Professor in fear.

What did the council want?

When they finally made it back to Professor McGonagall's office, Hermione perched down on the soft chair in front of the large mahogany desk.

The Professor started riffing through some envelops until she found the letter addressed to Hermione. "Ah, here it is." She stated.

The Professor handed the letter to Hermione, and she hesitantly took it.

"Have you read it?" Hermione wondered out loudly.

"No, I have not," the Professor replied.

Hermione nodded her head and began reading the letter.

Dear Miss Hermione Granger,
I write to you urgently about the issue regarding your parents. The Ministry of Magic have decided to postpone the meeting of passing the Muggle and Wizarding Law to a further date that is currently unknown up until this given time. There has also been some debate on whether your presence should be considered during the meeting. Many have voted against it, and a small group have voted for it. The Minister of Magic will, of course, have the final say on whether you'll be permitted to attend the meeting. But that will be unknown until he has returned from New Zealand. I warn you that this meeting will be one that might disappoint you as I have recently found that a large number of members are refusing to acknowledge the Act. I know how much this law means to you, so I thought I'd give you a fair warning so you may lower your expectations.
