Hermione's POV:

Excitement coursed through Hermione after that night with Malfoy and his friends. But that quickly disappeared when she realized that she hadn't seen Malfoy for two days now.

She couldn't tell if it was because he was absent, or if it was because of something else.

Something that meant her.

The twins had really gotten into her head. They were very curious as to what she planned to do about Ron.

She had been smoothly avoiding him these last couple of days. She was the last to enter a classroom, and the first to leave so she wouldn't be cornered by Ron.

He had tried to have Luna and Ginny convince her to speak to him, but it was only making her want to beat the absolute living shit out of him.

Hermione was internally suffering, and all anybody ever thought about was whether or not she was going to forgive Ron Weasley for fucking another girl.

She was currently in Astrology with Professor Sinistra when Harry appeared beside her.

Hermione looked up at him in confusion.

He doesn't take this class.

"What are you doing in here?" She questioned him.

She hadn't really spoken to him in the last couple of days. She wondered what brought him here.

Harry rubbed the back of his neck and sighed softly. "I came to apologize."

Hermione arched her brow and scoffed. He had to be joking.

"Apologizing on behalf of Ron is the stupidest thing you could do right now."

Harry shook his head and looked deep in her eyes. "I'm not apologizing on behalf of Ron. I'm apologizing. I haven't been a good friend to you and that doesn't sit right with me."

Hermione felt a tinge of sadness within her. "No, you haven't."

"No, I haven't." He echoed.

Professor Sinistra began explaining the different telescopes that were laced with specific magical charms that they used in order to see the types of energies that emerge from the constellations and planets.

Harry just listened whilst she took down her very descriptive notes. She could feel his eyes on her face, but she continued to focus on the Professor, rather than Harry's regret.

It was hard enough that the only two people in the world that she confided in were the ones who caused her the most pain.

Professor Sinistra concluded the session early, and Harry followed closely behind her.

Once they made it to the safety of the library, and Hermione seated herself in the darkest corner, hidden from any attention, whilst Harry sat before her looking anxiously, she let him begin.

"Tell me," Hermione insisted so she could get this over with.

"What Ron did," he began saying, "was fallacious and absolutely stupid."
