RAVEN’S P.O.V

As much as I tried to forget about Logan Reed, I just couldn’t. He was on my mind 24/7. I was trying to keep positive and thinking that whatever that phone call was about, it was just something small and meaningless. When I got to school, Dawn wasn’t in sight but she was the least of my worries at the moment. I knew Logan would want to talk about last night so, I thought of a prior conversation in my head of what it would sound like. Just before I reached my locker, Logan grabbed my arm, with a grip and pulled me aside. “Raven, please don’t say anything about last night!” he said with a nervous and angry tone. “Well Logan, it sounded pretty serious! Anyway how can I tell someone something if I don’t know myself?” I explained. “Please Raven, just give me time and I’ll explain when the time is right.” He said, begging. “Okay Logan, whatever.” I could see the hurt in his eyes but wondered what from. Even though I didn’t know what happened, I felt sorry for him and wanted to help.

After school, I stopped at Logan’s house to apologise for being so blunt. I knocked on the door, and a tall man answered. He had dark black hair that was spiked to the side and with eyes that were blue had had a dark tint of grey. I could tell he was built because his t-shirt was extremely tight around his biceps. He was quite gorgeous. “Hello, I’m Dean Reed, and you are? He asked, being curious. “Hi Dean, I’m Raven Meyers, a friend of Logan’s.” I answered, being polite. “Raven. I’m Logan’s brother. And speaking of, he will be down in a second” he informed me. He told me to just sit on the couch and wait, so I did. Dean was a bit scary, not like Logan, all innocent and sweet looking. Dean looked angry and his eyes seemed to always flare when Logan’s name was mentioned. I just sat there waiting for Logan to come down, whilst Dean made me a cup of coffee, and in the next second, Logan was standing at the bottom of the stairs. “Raven, what’s wrong? What are you doing here?” he seemed quite frustrated. “I just came to apologise for acting so rude back at school. Whatever the phone call was about, it’s not my business.” I blurted out. He gave me this look, like he was trying to tell me to shut up, but it was a bit too late. When I had said phone call, I saw Dean’s head shoot up and eyes widening from the corner of my eye. He look extremely curious about what I meant by phone call. I think this is what Logan was telling me to shut up about. “Don’t worry Raven, its okay. You had every right to be angry for me ditching you at the movie.” he said sounding really sorry. Dean came and gave me my cup of coffee and I whispered “Thank you”

LOGAN’S P.O.V

When Dean gave Raven her cup of coffee, he looked her in the eyes and gave her a flirty smile. “Raven come on, let’s go sit outside” I interrupted Dean’s little moment with Raven. “Raven, whatever Dean told you, please don’t believe him. It was probably just another one of his childish games.” I said to her, hoping she will understand. “Dean didn’t say anything to me Logan; he was actually really nice and welcoming. What would he tell me anyway?” she asked, wanting me to answer honestly. “I’m not ready to talk about it yet Raven. I had to make hard and life changing decisions that I’m not prepared to talk about. Please understand” I said, sounding innocent. She just nodded her head and took another sip of her coffee. “But soon I will explain everything to you, and then you will understand” I told her, kind of promising.

I walked Raven home once again but this time, she invited me in. It was about 11:00pm, so Raven took me into her room and lay done on her bed, covering herself with her blanket. She tapped on the bed twice, wanting me to lie next to her. I slanted my body so I was almost laid down but at the same time, sitting. She then placed her head softly onto my chest and tried to fall asleep. I stroked her hair, relaxing her until she completely fell asleep in my arms. She looked so peaceful and beautiful that I didn’t want to wake her. I slowly slid he body off mine and covered her tight with her blanket. I gave her a soft kiss on her forehead and made my way out the front door.  When I got home, Dean was sipping on a glass of Bourbon, waiting for me to come, sit and talk. “Nice girl you got there bro” he said with a mysterious tone in his voice. “She’s not my girl, and if she was, it’s none of your business!” I yelled. I was getting sick of Dean interfering with my life and wanting to know every detail.

DEAN’S P.O.V

I liked messing with Logan. He needed to lighten up and gain a sense of humour. I had never seen him smile since ‘she’ was still alive, and that was for a few years now. I knew what Logan meant when he thought Raven was different. She had something special about her that just stands out. I was happy for my brother, that he finally moved on and found happiness. But honestly, I think he should let Raven know the family history even though it will expose her to the dark side of the Reed family, especially me. But I had a good reason and I hope Logan doesn’t leave that part out.
