Chapter Twenty

Kiyanne's POV:
Today is Mother's Day and I leave next weekend for my turn up in Miami. I was still sleep in my bed when my babies; Odell, O'mere and Kylin, came in and woke me up.
O'mere: mommy wake up.
I shifted in bed turning on my side and faced them with my eyes closed.
Me: mommys up.
Kylin: why are you're eyes closed?
Odell: baby stop playing this tray is getting heavy.
I sat up in bed while he placed the tray on top of me. As for the kids, they ran to get their things.
Odell: happy Mother's Day babe.
Me: thank you.
I started to eat the waffles, eggs, turkey bacon & sausage. I'm what you call a part time pork eater. I don't eat pork bacon and pork sausage but I do eat ham. After I finished eating, the kids came in with their cards while Odell went and got their gifts.
I read their cards and shed a tear or two and smothered them with kisses.
Me: thank you babies.
O'mere&Kylin: your welcome mommy.
My phone began to ring it was my sister Aubrey.
Aubrey: happy Mother's Day sister!!
Me: thanks and same to you.
She's pregnant with Kyrie's son and they're engaged.
Aubrey: you're going to moms house right.
Me: you know it and the gift that we all put together is going to top the Christmas one that's still in the foyer.
Aubrey: you're right but we'll see you at moms house.
Aubrey: see you then.
I got out of bed and walked into my closet to pick out my out fit. I picked out yellow maxi skirt, white sleeve less crop top, and gold gladiator sandals. I took a quick shower. And then got dressed. I put my hair up in a bun a grabbed my jean jacket vest and grabbed my bag along with my moms Mother's Day gift along with Odell's mothers too.
Me: babe you ready?
Odell: yes the kids and I are waiting for you. Lets go.
I grabbed his hand as we walked to the Bentley and he drove to my moms house.

Odell's POV:
As soon as we got to her moms house, everybody from my family to hers was there. She had me taking pictures of her and the kids even though she has about 500 pictures with them. But today means something, she also had me take a picture of her and her sister. As for our picture we eventually got to it.
After we took our picture, I went downstairs into the den where the rest of the men was just chopping it up.
August: Odell, we thought you woulda been at training camp but I see not.
Me: you know what today is right.
August: yeah it's Mother's Day.
Me: so you know my mother, my mother in law and my wife woulda done beat my ass if I was working out and training today.
August: shit atleast you know it though. But what you been up to?
Me: besides training, I've been taking care of my family and playing soccer with O'mere. How bout you pops?
August: that's good to hear. What's the goals looking like for this year.
Me: you know what it it. To get the chip bring back a ring.
August: where's O'mere and Kylin?
Me: upstairs with the women.
August got up and went to get my kids. I love them so much that I would give them the world. All I want is another lil boy name him after me and I'm happy. As soon as Kylin see me she jumped in my lap and watched the Cavs vs. Bulls game.
August: I can see that you want another lil one.
Me: I do but Kiyanne is so busy that I'll wait after she's done with a heavy booked schedule and has a lot of down time.
August: I know my daughter loves kids. I think by me and her momma having another child has her in over protective mode over who comes near her family. But if you have a conversation with her I'm pretty sure she'll be open to it.
Soon Tyler and AJ came down. We spent the entire time talking until all of the guys went upstairs to show our mothers the ultimate Mother's Day gift.
Starting with me.
Me: momma and momma Audrey, the both of you mean the world to me. Momma you've always told me that I'll be special, but I never knew what you meant by that. But now I do if it wasn't for you with you constantly helping me in track because you were an all American track star. But you gave me the optimistic feeling when I thought that football should stop here and because of you I'm where I am today. To momma Audrey you allowed me to have that second mother. I know that I can allows come to you with my problems whether they're Kiyanne related or life related in general. I'm thankful for you allowing me to become apart of this family and marrying Kiyanne. She even told me "if my momma don't like you then we're not dating." And I'm grateful to have you as my mother in law.
I handed them both their gifts. It was a Louis Vuitton bag with a Presidential Rose Gold Rolex and unlimited Spa days at Spa Castle.
Kiyanne: why you had to be so heartfelt for now I can't even come back at that. But mommy, I know how you both said you wanted something of all my children together in one picture and all my grand babies in one picture. So a few weeks ago we all went and had a family photo shoot while you was busy putting together your Final Tour before going into acting. So for you, we got you this.
They handed her a book of all the pictures we took that say. I remember that day like it was yesterday. It was pure jokes that day too.
Kiyanne: and momma Heather, I owe you a lot. From when Odell and I was just dating to know that we're married. I appreciate the motherly love that you've given to me over the last 3 years. I don't know what sums up to that.
I passed her the gift that she got my mother and we did the shopping together. She got her new pair of Louboutins and a clutch to go with it, along with her favorite perfume, Marc Jacobs Dot & Marc Jacobs Daisy.
Mom: Kiyanne you didn't have too. And The both of you spend way to much money on me.
Me: but it's your day we're supposed to.
Momma Aubrey: you know I'm grateful to have you as my son in law. I love as if you were my own. And you know while y'all was in college, she was calling me everyday talking about Odell this Odell that.
Me: I know she did. So when she said "I'm not dating you if my momma don't like you" I was like you talk to her about me almost every time y'all talked so how can she not like me.
MommaAudrey: but I like my gift especially the picture book it's all cute the you guys looked all dapper.
Me: well the dapper idea was all mine but the photoshoot was there's.
After me and Momma Audrey finished talking I pulled my wife infront of me and just held her.
Me: baby?
Kiyanne: yes love?
Me: I just want to say thank you to being the awesome mother that you are to O'mere and Kylin and giving me 2 amazing kids. I can't see anybody else topping that.
Kiyanne: babe you've done so much is be glad to give you more if that's what you want.
She read my mind and she knows me well. We just stayed like this before sitting with our big family.
Cameron(her uncle): Can Father's Day be like this?
