Matty's POV
Taylor Elena Harris knows almost all of my little secrets. Almost, apart from the one that concerns her and our relationship. I kiss her as she's drifting off to sleep in my arms. It's not possible that I could love her anymore than I already do. It just isn't, the deep pain in the gut that I felt when she questioned me earlier is enough proof that I will not survive if she leaves me.
If I'm honest I thought that was the end. The end of my utopia. The way she looked at me when I told her about the amount of girls I've slept with. That very look of absolute horror, that's what made me decide that no I cannot tell her about the banter at Ross'. It would be a deal breaker, I know that for sure.
However I am determined to keep her and to protect my future with her. I've come to a decision that I'm going to message Ross before the party and tell him that she knows, and that we've worked it out.I feel like a crazy man, cutting off all ties with everything I've known. But to be honest it's something I should have done a while ago. I am gaining so much, I'm genuinely happy to be exploring all of these possibilities with her.
It's like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders, earlier I had thought she was going to say sorry that's a deal breaker babe you're a complete dog and I'm worth more. Wouldn't blame her one bit. Now though, sticking to my plan is vital. As far as
Im aware Jay doesn't know about any bet, that gives me an advantage. Plus it will not be hard to keep her away from Jen. Rachel is on side, we spoke about Taylor together and she likes her. This can work, I will make it workTaylor turns around facing the other way as if she can sense me thinking, and wants to escape the drama. I chuckle and place my hands on her waist. Looking at her tummy with my hands over her I think about all of the connotations of holding her in this way and I don't remember ever having this intuition with other women, or being so aware of the fact that I could get them pregnant. I always avoided it at all costs.
I stroke her tummy and she scoots up close to me.
"'Mmm love you" she says half asleep.
I lean over and kiss her neck slowly.Pulling my phone out and unlocking it to a picture I've selected of us, again a first for me. No girl has ever been my wallpaper before.
Ross it's done. Good advice thanks man, you were right of course. See you all at the party. Matty
Ball is rolling. I can keep this train from derailing.
He texts back quickly, yes at 3 am, he's probably at a party not in bed with the girl of his dreams like I am.No worries man. How did it go.
His reply is simple as he asks for more information. See that's the thing about lying you need to actually be good at it. I opt for a simple reply.
As well as you can expect. However for now we're still an item.
Snuggling back down into the duvet I try my best not to wake her up. Placing both of my hands around her and holding her whilst kissing her neck.
"Matthew" she whispers and I damn myself for waking her up again. Shes a light sleeper.
"Mhmm" I sigh.
"Go to sleep" she sighs and I chuckle slightly.
"I'm trying" I tell her snuggling into her neck.
"Mmm this smells nice" I chuckle, smelling her shampoo.
"It's honey and almond" she laughs.
"I never want to not be able to smell your shampoo whilst I'm trying to sleep" I sigh and she giggles.
"Is my shampoo keeping you up at night" she chuckles and I love how cute she is. And totally and utterly mine.
"You keep me up at night, just by existing in my life" I smile.
"In the best way of course" I add.
"I wouldn't want to make you tired and sleep deprived" she laughs and I pull on her hips. She turns in bed and assesses me. I give her my most genuine warm smile.
"I would happily walk around completely sleep deprived just because I have been watching you all night long" I say to her softly.
"Watching you sleep. It's really cute and you don't snore I'll have you know" I say teasing her. She giggles and tickles me. I've never been tickled before by anyone other than my older sister. When we were younger and she would wind me up. I remember fighting with her over watching the game or some girly movie and she would just tickle me silly until we didn't argue anymore.
"I love our nighttime chats" she smiles and I wink at her.
"Promise me something" I ask of her and she listens to me, slight concern on her face.
"Anything" she smiles.
"Promise me that no matter what" I begin staring into her eyes.
"You will always let me make you giggle all night long" I ask of her. She laughs and wraps herself around me charmed.
"Always baby" she smiles.
"See just like that" I say touching her lips with my fingertips.
"That giggle." I say smirking.
"It's going to drive me absolutely wild" I tell her and she kisses my lips.
"I never want to be without it" I say, meaning it.
"Then never shall you be without me" she smiles in the darkness.
"But the rule is you must always make me giggle" she says softly.
I vow right then and there to be the reason she wakes up at night and laughs, to be the one that makes her smile. To be the reason that the noise of her giggling exists in my world.
