Malibu California, May 2 2004

The sun was just making its appearance over the horizon when I had made my way downstairs into my office to get some work done. I hate mornings like this when I can't sleep. It just happens at random times too. So I figured why not get an early start right?

I began checking emails and planning the upcoming tour for Damageplan and working out some way that I can fit in Slash and Duff's band, Velvet revolver. I had just taken them on a couple of months ago and they were set to release their debut in early June with a record release party set for June 8th in Seattle. I'm so excited to work with them again, only this time it won't be the craziness it was with Guns N Roses... or will it?

Damageplan also released their debut album back in February and was making a bit of headway but what they really needed was a full on summer tour. I hadn't planned a tour since I was still managing Chris with his solo stuff back in '98 so it was a little overwhelming. I mean Tommy's solo tour was already planned out before I became his manager so all I really had to do was follow the schedule that was set up at that time.

This is gonna be one crazy summer!

Just as I was setting things up and getting some emails sent out, the phone rang. It was from a weird number too that I didn't recognize at all. I answered the phone, and it was a representative from 10th Street Entertainment looking to speak with me which had me completely confused.

"... so are you able to make it this morning, say in an hour? I know it's quite last minute but I promise it'll be worth it" The representative says to me.

"Sure yea that's no problem," I say wondering just why the hell they need me so bad.

They tell me the address and I thank them, then press the little button on the phone which makes a little beep sound as I hang up. I then rise from my chair still in my oversized Metallica tank top that was more like a dress on me, feeling my bare feet on the hardwood floor, I make my way out of my office, flipping my curls out of my face making my way upstairs to Tommy.

Quietly as I can, I make my way into our bedroom with him still sleeping so soundly on his back, his right tattooed arm under his head, his left hand laying across his bare chest with the blanket barely covering his hips. As I approach him, I see his chest rising and falling with each deep breath he takes and he looked so adorable I really didn't want to wake him up.

"Hey beautiful," He says in that raspy sleepy voice, flicking his eyes open to see me, groaning as he stretches with a yawn adding "What are you doing up?" and all I wanted to do was get back in that bed with him again.

"I couldn't sleep, so I was just catching up on some work things, go back to sleep," I say and just as I was about to make my way into the bathroom to shower, he catches my hand.

"Where do you think you're going?" He says so sweetly with a smirk.

"I have a meeting this morning so I was just gonna get ready," I say, turning back to him.

"A meeting with who?" He yawns, letting go of my hand, placing it on my thigh and slowly moving up under my shirt.

"I don't know, a rep just called from 10th Street Entertainment and asked me to come in for a meeting. They wouldn't tell me over the phone, and the meetings in an hour," I explain looking down at him as I feel his hand move to my ass, feeling so rough and soft at the same time.

"An hour? Fuck," He sighs.

"I know, so I gotta get ready," I say and lean down to him to place a quick kiss to his lips then just as I pull away he sits up and leans forward to catch my hand again.
