Chapter 22: Dayna Leah Wilson P.O.V-

The royal ball is in full swing and I don't even know where the food is, now that's concerning. Priorities, priorities.

Alexander was unable to pick me up because apparently he had a last minute meeting about something important so Thorne picked me up with Evelyn beautifully on his arm with her copper-blue fitted dress hugging all her curves that Thorne couldn't even pretend to not stop staring at.
So you should understand how awkward it was for me to sit, yet again, in the same car as their barely-tolerable palpable sexual tension.

I maybe also was a little upset of Alexander not showing up. I mean I understand his situation, but this must be what the future holds for us so might as well start getting used to it.

Thorne matched Evelyn's dress with his own copper-blue tie and cuffs, and engraved in it was 'E x T' written in cursive fonts. Now that is adorable!

In the hall, my huge skirt twirls around me in various shades of blues and blacks as I run around in circles, the skirt is highlighted by black accents and beautifully placed blue shimmer so it doesn't look like a child threw it together. Patterns of the various stages of the moon have been particularly embroidered into the dress in off-white shades showcasing the theme of today's event.

The hall is huge with lots of pretty decorations and drapes that the pack's staff elegantly placed. The large staircase's hand-rails (I know, I thought of Cinderella too) were wrapped with a long line of flowers and various green shaded leaves in an intricate style that fluttered into a delicate bouquet of white and blue flowers. The ceilings had huge stunning chandeliers hanging down and lots of fairy lights all around the hall giving it a mystique feel.

It was simply breathtaking.

As I walk around still searching for the food corner, here are some of the conversations I've had the displeasure to overhear:

"Who's even name is black?"
"Thats so cliche"
They laugh.

Ugh. I mean, it's not not true. But, that's is my future husban-

What was that thought? I am getting wayyy ahead of myself. Let's not go there quiet yet.

They were still rude.

I need to calm down, and you know what? I need a drink. Let's hope I have better thoughts.

As if, scoff. But you can only go up from here.

While I was in my head, I hadn't noticed a woman shashying toward me with her gaggle of friends with their shiny gowns and lace hand fans. They stopped right in front of me and looked at me expectantly as if I was to already know who she was.

"Hi?" I asked confused as to why she and her friends were blocking my path right when I spotted the appetizers and drinks section of the buffet.
"Can I help you?"
