Come the next morning. I was fresh faced and dressed for the day. I was awoken by my own personal handmaid. Dyana was her name. My bed was so beautiful and soft. Feather filled. I slept soundly for the first time in my life. Dyana tightened my hated corset and ensured my jewels were fastened. Along with putting a strange belt on me. Then taking to do my hair in a loose way, making it frame my face.

I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked the part. But the way I spoke. The way I held myself, wasn't quite royal of me. I posed for a moment in the mirror, trying to look as they do. Y/N Targaryen, Princess of the realm. First of my name. I bit the inside of my lip with nerves. What was Aegon to say to me at breakfast? Aemond seemed snotty, Helaena was nice but- rather odd. Otto followed the king like a dog, as the hand does. And Alicent goes around disciplining everyone. I still felt alone. A knock came to my door.

"Enter."

Ser Arykk opened the door, calmly. "Breakfast is set Princess."

"Will the king be joining us this morning?" I asked, trying to maintain manner.

"No my Princess, the king does not come for daylight gestures." Arryk explained, I nodded, following him down the hall. Towards the main hall for breakfast. I entered, as nearly everyone from dinner last night was seated. Viserys and Otto were not to be seen. Helaena was eating some hot bread, with berries on the side. Aegon had bacon and before him. As Aemond had eggs, Alicent was reading replies from what seemed to be ravens, I entered, she looked up, rolling them away. She looked to me with a smile.

"Sleep well Y/N?" She asked with a smile.

"Of course your grace." I smiled, taking a seat at the table. "Please forgive me, I seem to be late." I knew she told me to call her mother, but that seemed rather strange in front of her actual children. She waved her hand dismissively.

"Oh nonsense, we show to breakfast on our own accord here, you're not late, show no worries- Ah yes Mayla get me some tea, green." Alicent spoke to a servant, as one asked me what I wanted. They placed what I wanted on my plate neatly. I ate slowly, attempting to eat as a lady.

"Aegon.." Alicent said, glancing to her eldest, Aegon looked up to her and then to me slowly, like a child. She nodded. Aegon cleared his throat, as I could see him in the daylight now, he was somewhat beautiful. He got to his feet, shoving back his chair slightly.

"Princess Y/N, my behaviour was not of princely accord of last night, please excuse everything I said, I did not mean to offend you. I was not myself.." Aegon glanced at Alicent in a way that made it look like 'Am I done yet?' In which Alicent stared blankly at him which clearly meant 'No.' Aegon started up again. "I was not aware of your arrival last night, as I was told you were not to arrive for weeks to come. As my lawful sister, and my legal blood, I humbily ask for your forgiveness." Aegon looked down at the table, then back to me. His short hair framed his face, he licked his bottom lip with nerve, as something in my stomach shifted. I gulped nervously.

"I will excuse it on the account of new beginnings at this time, but I would rather not speak of it again Prince Aegon." I asked of him. My stomach fluttered.

"On your wish Princess." Aegon looked to Alicent again, she gave him another blank look to keep going. "And- to welcome you today we will- we shall take you to the dragon pits, to see the likes of Sunfyre. Dreamfyre and Vhagar. If it please you." Aegon smiled with a charm now. Like he knew what he said worked like a charm. He eyed me like he did last night, except this time, I knew it wasn't the drink. Alicent smiled to him, nodding. He sat down again.

"I thank you for the invitation my Prince, I will gladly accept it." I smiled to him, my stomach beginning to settle.

"I will admit Y/N, I know nothing of you- please, indulge us." Aegon added on the sly.
