Chapter 2:

 Elizabeths POV:

7/31/85

Monday

Today was my first day at scoops I'm feeling much better now than i was before i've had the whole week to rest so it makes sense. I finally get to meet the two other people at the job I've been overthinking a lot about how they might treat me seeing how people at school do ,but todays the day i find out however the first step is to get out of bed. So i get out of bed put on my scoops uniform and I'm ready to leave the house. SHIT the time i didn't even have to look .SHIT I'M LATE. I scream "EDDDIIIEEE!!!"
"WHATTTT!"he screams back.
"COULD YOU DROP ME OFF AT THE MALL I'M LATE"i say.
"fine just be ready soon" Eddie said walking into my room looking at the uniform.
"woah is that the uniform you have to wear?"he said errupting into bundles of laughter
"yes it is stop judging it i can't help it!"I didn't think it was that bad however it was really that bad when another person saw you in it.
"Okay I'll stop, meet me in the van in 5 okay?"he said laughing quietly on his way out of my room.

I quickly pack a bag for the day packing anything i think i will need and quickly rush out the door making sure to lock it on my way out.

A/N

I forgot to mention this but the past year Elizabeth has helped in the upside down stuff but Eddie doesn't know anything yet.

I step out of his van feeling the hot air on my face as i rush into the mall desperate for the AC. I walk in the AC is luckily there hitting me right in the face which is extremely relieving as I'll be here all day.I can see Scoops in the food hall but can't make out the people who just walked into the shop.

I rush into the room my manager thanking me for actually turning up apparntly people don't usually turn up after they've seen the uniform which i don't blame them for but this job will be good for us all. I join my new co-workers in the back room and apologise for being late as they both turn round for me to find out that they are no other than Robin Buckley and Steve Harrington. They're a weird pair of people that's for sure but i don't think it'll be a bad thing besides Steve is a much nicer person now and Robin has always been a lovely person in general.

As the  introduction to the job finishes we get told to talk to each other  so we can get to know each other and socialise I talk to Steve for a bit catching up on random shit while i them go out to the front to try out serving customers.

 Robins POV:

 I finally found a job to fund operation criossant now all i need to do is save up, ask Tammy and convince my parents to let me go. It was my first day there Michelle (the really kind boss) has told me two other people have gotten this job too so I wont be on my own scooping ice cream I'm sort of excited but not really i just sort of want some money so i don't really care who i work with but i also don't want these people to be pricks. I was the first one to arrive and i was on time and everything i find out that  Steve 'the hair' Harrington is one of my co-workers great just great he's incredibly annoying. He walked in around 5 minutes after me. We go through the basics of scooping ice cream as i wondered where the other co-worker was that she told us about, just then Elizabeth Munson crashes through the door out of breath. I could feel my cheeks turn red when she smiled at me she was so pretty. I was totally head over heels for this girl i was fascinated about her the way her hair fell perfectly onto her shoulders ,the way her eyes glistened in the light of Scoops, the way she had freckly skin she was just absolutely perfect in every way possible. 

Before i knew it we were asked to socialise and have ago at doing the job for our selfs and i go to talk to Elizabeth maybe we would be able to talk and catch up with her i haven't talked to her since the start of the year but then she goes and stands next to Steve, of course she likes Steve she probably dates him and got this job together god i need to learn to not get my hopes up lets face it there aren't any other lesbians in Hawkins.

Elizabeths POV:

The rest of my day was alright i spoke to Steve and caught up with him turns out Dustin is coming back from science camp tomorrow. I called Eddie from the mall to pick me up he said he would but afterwards he immediately has to go to Rick's (His supplier) which i get but i also don't want to be alone however i suppose i have to just deal with it he said he'd be 5 minutes. I waited and eventually he pulled up in front of me.

"Where were you I've waited here for more than 5 minutes" I said
"Sorry Liz there was just somethings i had to take care of"he replied
"Oh okay"
"Well how are you?How was your day?"he asked hoping to change the subject.
"It was alright i guess, the jobs alright it pays well."I explained to him
"Well as you know I have something to do later but i can call it off if you want and we can talk."he said, I knew what it was I wasn't  very pleased to know that I won't get to spend much time w I with him but what can I do.
"No no it's okay I'll just chill at home,"

We got home shortly afterwards the car journey was quite silent after that conversation I was pretty pissed about Eddie having to do his drug dealing i know it gets us money but still i don't want him getting caught by the police I don't want his future to get compromised by drugs although he has been though lots of shit anyway i say good bye to Eddie and get into the trailer i decide to just practice some guitar. After i practiced my guitar for a bit I decide to call Eddie and see how he's doing.

"Hey Ed what time do you think you'll be home I'm bored here."
"Hey Liz erm i don't know what time but erm maybe try to get some sleep or something I will  probably be back in the morning tho see you later."he said

"okay yeah bye."I told him annoyed he didn't know

"Bye Liz"

I realised he was probably going to get high with Rick or practice with his band sometimes i join in with his band practice but not very often i prefer to play on my own.
