You sighed. You were a vampire enthusiast and most people didn't think vampires were real. They called you stupid and delusional for believing in them.

You still remember an incident near the woods when you saw a boy with sharp fangs sucking the blood of a poor innocent girl. You were awfully scared at that moment and ran back to your house as if your life depended on it.

The scenario still gives you shivers but you still force yourself to think that it was nothing but a dream. You turned the TV on to see anything interesting. Shuffling the TV channels, you came across a news channel, which was showing a few corpses of people who were expected to be "drained out of the blood."

And the thing was, there were marks on the victims' necks. You felt a sudden urge to explore the alleyway, but it was too late and you had to attend college the next day.

You got up and went to your bedroom,  falling asleep as soon as your head hit the pillow.

The next day when you woke up, you got ready and rushed to college. You were worried you'd have to pay another fine. And that was not good for you.

You reached just in the nick of time and sighed as you entered. You walked into the building and an unfamiliar girl ran up to you, wrapping her arm around yours. "So, you were the girl who liked vampires?" You were confused but you nodded.

"Well great then! You saw yesterday's news! Tell me if it was a vampire?" You sighed at her statement and jerked her hands off your arm.

"Even if it was one, I wouldn't tell you," you said. She scoffed and left. You weren't used to people asking you questions. Especially about vampires.

The day ended pretty quickly and you were walking home. It was dark because you had stayed back to help your science lab partner with her formulas.

You walked down the alleyway where there was a 'vampire' but you didn't realize you were there. But when you did, your pace fastened because of the footsteps you heard behind you.

Your grip on your backpack tightened and your fingers were pale white. You hesitantly looked back and heaved a sigh of relief after seeing no one.

But in front of you was a man with pale skin and sharp fangs. His hair was slicked back, a few strands falling in front of his eyes. His brown orbs glared at you and you gulped.

But his pupils were changing to a color of scarlet and maroon. You were mesmerized more than scared. His lips formed a devilish smirk, "Greetings to you too," he said. You smiled softly.

Your hands started moving toward his face and he eyed you to stop. When you didn't, he held your wrist. "Do you know what you're doing, kid?" he asked. You scoffed.

"I'm not a kid."
"Of course not. I should have known." He said. "But that still doesn't answer my question."
"Right, I'm sorry." You said, your cheeks having a tint of pink out of embarrassment.

He smirks a little as he looks down at your neck, pinning you to a wall close by. "You smell good, you know that? Your scent is... Better than the others," he says and you could feel his hot breath fanning over your neck.

You realize soon what's happening and push him away. "Oh. So that's what you wanna do? I'm giving you five seconds, 5..." You took that time to run as fast as you could and the 5 seconds were over. He wasn't behind you.

But in front of you...

You changed your direction and realized he wasn't running after you, at all. You kept running until you reached your house and sighed, locking the door while breathing heavily.

Why didn't he run after me? He could've used his vampire speed. The first rule for vampires is to never let a mortal live. The thoughts filled up your head and you couldn't sleep that night.

The next day, you woke up to your alarm. You didn't know when you slept. While walking to school, your head was hung low and the thoughts about the vampire filled up your head again. But soon those thoughts were disturbed when you bumped into someone.

You looked up to see...him. The vampire. "Good morning," he said with a smile, putting an arm around your shoulders and he started walking with you.

"But I thought... I thought vampires couldn't go out in the sun," you mumbled. He smiled once again.
"You're wrong. They can't, can they? Well, I can and so can the others," he said, ruffling your hair.

Is he...being nice to me or what? You'd think. "What's your name?" He asked.
"Why do you wanna know?" You look at him.
"I just want to know about my new friend. I'm San," he smiles. You couldn't help but smile. You found it cute.
"I'm Y/N."
"Y/N," he repeated, "It's a cute name. I like it."
You blushed while looking down and ran into the school.

When you entered the school, the same girl walked up to you, "Was that the vampire?" You pushed her off of you and walked to your class.

The day ended and you were somewhat eager to go past the alleyway. You saw San, with his scarlet red eyes and devilish smirk. Very different from the smile he showed you this morning.

And this time you were not feeling good about this. He slowly walked up to you, "Hey Y/N," he said.

"H-Hey," you stuttered. "So, how was your day?" you said trying to wash the feeling of fear away.
"Good."
You walked away, trying to avoid his gaze but you didn't have a clue he was following.

When you reached your apartment, someone knocked on the door right after you closed the door. When you looked through the peephole, it was San. Did he just follow me?

He knocked again. But this time you opened the door. Was this why he was being so nice to me?

For a split second, he was confused but he casually came in and sat down on your couch. "I'm happy you wanted to see me."

Huh? You? Wanting to see him? "San I- What the hell? I didn't even tell you to come in."

"You didn't realize when I followed you back. I wanted to see if you were safe-"

"Now I am, so please leave." You cut him off. You sat down next to him after closing the door and you were pinned down to the couch. His hands have a strong grip on your wrists. "San I-"

He kissed you. He kissed you. A vampire kissed you. You were too shocked to give in and kiss back. "Sorry. Well um... May I?" He said while getting closer to your neck.

"Yes." You were surprised at your own words. But there was a small feeling of trust in you.

"Are you sure?"
You nodded and he gently started laying his fangs onto your skin. It was a painful but sweet sensation. He smiled when he pulled back. "I liked it. Thank you." His small smile caused your lips to curl into a smile too.

He was nicer than before. "Maybe I just fell in love with a vampire," you mumbled.

A/N: Ayo I'm back. 😄 Happy late Halloween
