University was... chaotic, to say the least. Rumors were everywhere about everyone but students were too stressed to care about anything at all. But one senior, in particular, felt as if he wanted to ruin your life. Girls drooled over him, he was handsome, good at his subjects, and an absolute sweetheart to everyone. Everyone except you. People would stare at his probably newly bought clothes as he walked down the hallway always looking... perfect. He'd always be hosting parties at his mansion and arriving extra early to class the next day. You were confused yet so jealous as to how he did it.
"Well, hello, princess." He smiled, a thorny rose in his hands.
"..." you stayed quiet momentarily before sighing, "What do you want, Hongjoong?" You stared at the rose. The thorns were visible on the stem and though you hated Hongjoong with all your life, you wanted him to be careful. Just because you hated him didn't mean you hoped for him to hurt himself.
His gaze followed yours, a smirk playing on his lips, "Don't worry, this isn't for you."
"I don't want it, either. I don't like roses." You mumbled. "Be careful with that. The stem still has thorns on it..."
"Is that concern in your eyes?" He raised an eyebrow, the ugly smirk still on his... plump, pink lips.
"Just-" it was pointless to even argue. You stopped, turning around and leaving to go to the library. And just when the day was over, you found yourself staring at the Instagram DM, that invited you to a girl's birthday party. And obviously, you didn't want to go but, your friend finally convinced you to go. Even though, the party was after a week.
A week had passed before you noticed and you were not at all prepared. You had to call your friend over to get ready and even borrow a dress. "Nayeon, not too much, not too much!" You squealed at your friend putting a little too much blush on your cheeks. She rubbed it off gently with her thumb.
"It wasn't even that bad but okay." She said, rolling her eyes. "Come on now, the taxi's here."
"You booked a taxi?" You asked. "I thought we were going on my car?"
"Too bad. I forgot so come on." She said, dragging you out of the house.
"How can you forget that?" You raised an eyebrow, sitting down in the taxi. The two of you were welcomed with loud music and though the night had just begun, people were wasted drunk. You stared at people stumbling over each other, couples on couches making out as you cringed, soon being dragged out to a less crowded corner of the house by your trusty friend. "My goodness, that was traumatizing." You mumbled as Nayeon laughed quietly.
"Y/N, it's a party. This is the last thing you should be traumatized from."
"Yeah, I'll keep that in mind..." You said, laughing it off.
You saw Nayeon squint at something from a slightly further off corner, "Y/N, oh my goodness!" She squealed, dragging you across the room. "They're doing the Pepero game here!"
"What's the-" You paused, seeing Hongjoong. "No, Nayeon, we're not going there."
"Yes, we are. But later. We have to get our drinks!" She smiled, excitement visible.
"Sure." You had to delay it as long as possible so that by the time you'd get to the Pepero game, Hongjoong would be elsewhere.Almost an hour had passed and you were quite drunk, especially because your alcohol tolerance was... low. You found yourself being dragged to the Pepero game, of course, by your friend, Nayeon. You sat down on the chair, dizzy and slightly disoriented as a familiar figure sat in front of you. "Well, nice to see you here too, princess." Hongjoong smirked. "Do you know how the game works?"
You shook your head, looking at the box of Pepero sticks.
"I'm not surprised." He mumbled, sighing. "Listen, I bite down on one side, and you bite down on the other. We're supposed to end up with a smaller stick than the opponent team."
You processed his words slowly, looking at the girl sitting next to you and her teammate opposite her. "There's no way, I'm teaming with you." You said, standing up from your seat.
Hongjoong held your wrist, his grip firm, "Too late. You can't chicken out now. Plus, you can't keep your friend waiting too long. You can win money too, I promise." He winked.
You looked at Nayeon, who was slightly better composed than you as you sat back down in defeat, your eyebrows furrowed. "That's what I thought." Hongjoong held the cookie stick from one side with his pearly whites as he held your jaw gently, bringing your face closer so that you could hold the stick with your teeth.
