Chapter 7 "Seeing you again"

Shuiro returned from Swordsmith Village with Tanjiro and others. She didn't feel quite good during the mission but only reason for that was because she felt guilty what she had said Mirabel before.

"It's going to be okay..I am sure Mirabel will forgive you.."

"How can you be so sure..Tanjiro? After all of those things I said to her..This time..I am sure she won't be forgive me.."

Tanjiro looked at Shuiro and saw how his new master was more down than before. He didn't like it. Also he was little dissapointed how Shuiro had lost her cool and hurted the most important person in her life. But he knew that Shuiro was a human. And humans were suppose to do mistakes. But this time the mistake was so deep that Tanjiro didn't know how this would be solved.

Shuiro runned to her home only to see Mirabel's empty room.

I guess she left..

Shuiro looked at the moon. It was only 2 days till Final Selection and she didn't know how would it end. And she couldn't been there for Mirabel.

Suddenly familiar looking girl walked in to Shuiro's and Senjuro's home. It was Shinobu.

"Hello there! I came to look if you had any injuries.."

Shinobu..

"Huh? Why are so quiet now? Shuiro-san..You came just back..did something happen in Swordsmith Village?"

"No..Not really..And hey! Don't come in this time of night! If I had any injuries Kakushis would have dragged me to Butterfly house already.."

"Calm down already..Are you not interested where Mirabel is right now?"

Shuiro was silent.

"You have gone back to your "old" self Shuiro-san..Have you? You try to show experission but it doesn't show..Is it because you had fought with Mirabel?"

Shuiro nodded.

Shinobu sighed and rubbed her head by annoyence.

"Look I know..You have difficulties to keep relationships but..to go far as send Mirabel away..is quite extreme even from you..You could just talk to her about it.."

"She wasn't made for my training..so I thought it was for the best.."

"You could just adjust what is best for her..She misses you..a lot.."

"Well..she chose this path..I won't stand in her way anymore..She can love who ever she wants..I am not worthy for her.."

Shinobu looked really annoyed by Shuiro's behavior now. She couldn't understand why Shuiro was so insecure about apologizing to Mirabel.

"Fine..If that's what you meathead wants..then fine..You then better stay away from her..for a bit.."

Shuiro was silent and let Shinobu leave. Senjuro walked in same time. He looked at his cousin and gave her food.

"You better eat..now.."

"Okay.."

"You look stressed..What is it?"

"Well..If you didn't see I work my ass off and in the same time I broke someones heart.."

Senjuro then sighed and said:

"Take a break.."

"Huh?"

"I said take a break..You have way too many missions..you train yourself to death..There is so much more in life than training..Take care of your health..have fun..and..do things that you love.."

"But.."

"You can't be that stuck to your work..I don't say that you have to throw your job or you duties but please..take smaller missions and.."

Shuiro then patted Senjuro's head. She smiled for the first time in while.

"I understand..that I will do...I will write a letter to Kagaya Ubuyashiki tomorrow.."

Senjuro smiled.

"You know Mirabel's Final Selection is soon how about..you are the one who is going to host that.."

"What? Isn't Ubuyashiki's daughters are going to do that?"

"Well..When you were away..Some Kakushis came to tell me that there is coming new tradition to one hashira to go host Final Selection. And you are the newest one so they chose you.."

"Okay...Well...I am going to ask Ubuyashiki himself tomorrow.."

"So no letter.."

"No.."

Shuiro then went to her room still Mirabel in her mind.

Well..thinking about it won't help...I have to do right thing and lead Mirabel to the path which is for her..

Shuiro closed her eyes and let out loud sigh. She then went to bed and let the tomorrow come.

Then the tomorrow came. Shuiro woke up early ,did the small morning training and went to look for Blaze. Shuiro saw her familiar with intresting look on his face. It seemed like he was confused but in the same time he was tired. It was like Blaze knew new hardships that Shuiro had went through again...Eventhough most part was Shuiro's own fault. But probably it was part of also samurai's pride which still was in Shuiro's blood..

"Hello..my child.." said Ubuyashiki

"Hello..master.." said Shuiro who bowed infront of Ubuyashiki.

"Rise my child..You are probably here to asking about final selection..right?"

"Yeah.."

"Good..Like you heard..I want this year hashira to be there..because of dangers.."

"Why this year..?"

"You saw how Uppermoons attacked to Encanto right..? Same can happen..I don't want any new members to get hurt.."

"But the rule.."

"You can only attack on Uppermoons if someone appears..Don't touch on other demons because they are part of test..understood?"

"Yes..sir.."

"Good..You can go now..And..Shuiro..take a break before Final Selection.."

Shuiro nodded and walked out from Ubuyashiki.

Don't attack to normal demons huh?

Suddenly Shuiro saw familar faces at the other side of Demon Slayer Corps. There was her former teacher Tomioka Giyu and..Shinobu with Mirabel.

"So..this is your tsugoko Koncho?"

"Yes..She is going to the best!"

"Okay..."

"You are not going to talk to us more? Huh..Tomioka"

"I just asked..."

Shuiro wanted to join their conversation but after what Shinobu had said to her to "stay way from Mirabel" She decided to step out without anyone noticing.

Well..that would have been her plan until Shinobu shouted..

"Hey! Shuiro!"

This girl..She herself said to stay away..

Shuiro put a fake smile and waved at them and then walked away from them with Blaze.

Why won't you talk to me?..Shuiro..
