Signing in frustration, a purple haired female stood up again, after she had made sure to invest even the smallest corner of the room. Nothing. No trace of the person who had caused another individual to die. "This can't be." She mumbled with a straight face, looking around once more."Let's just leave, Kirigiri. There's nothing here. Again. It would be a waste of time to look around." A (h/c) haired male stepped towards her, waving around a document with other clues. "We should try to investigate these instead. If we waste our time here, it could be too late."
Sighing, Kyoko wasn't sure what to do. Of course, her assistant was somewhat right. If they wasted too much time at an empty crime scene, it could be too late to follow other clues. But she just couldn't accept the fact that there was nothing at the scene.
"They didn't leave a single hair or footprint. I don't know how this is possible. How did they manage to do this in such little time?" She glanced at a clock at the wall, which was surprisingly still working. "We definitely will come here once more. Let's go, for now."
Back in the police car, the male could only give her a small pat on the shoulder, as he didn't know how to comfort his partner. "This is really frustrating, but we will be able to arrest him soon, I'm sure of it..." Kyoko mumbled, waiting for him to start the car.
And he did, listening to the motor purr for a little bit. "You know, I don't understand how you're able to keep calm. I feel like we haven't made any progress at all. I almost want to give this godd-mned case up. Almost." He began to drive up the road.
"I'm asking you not to do that. For the sake of my sanity. I need someone to assist me in this case and everyone else refused to do it. They were scared of this mysterious murderer." Her words caught him slightly off guard, his head turning towards her for a second.
Returning his gaze to the road, he gave a small chuckle. "I see. Well, the culprit definitely is intimidating, especially since we don't have the slightest hint of who it might be. Is it a female or a male? Are they strong or do they have help?"
The purple haired female only nodded, leaning her head against the window. 'I can't believe how frustrating this case is. I've never faced something like this.' Closing her eyes, she enjoyed the quiet car drive for a while, until (y/n) spoke up again. "May I ask you something?"
"What is it?" She opened her eyes, sitting up straight. "Why are you always wearing these gloves? I'm sorry if my question is too personal." For a few seconds, she kept silent, before looking at him. "I apologize, but it's not something I would want to share with anyone."
"I understand. Once again, I'm sorry for asking something so personal." He received another nod from Kyoko, who went back to looking out of the window. "Who do you think the culprit is?" She suddenly asked, seemingly deep in thought about their impossible case. "What do you mean by that?"
"Do you think it's someone that's already known by the police? Or is it someone that we've never heard of?" Considering that her eyes were still staring out of the window, the (h/c) haired male allowed himself a bright grin. "I actually think we've already encountered that person, at least once."
