Kyoko woke up, feeling quite dizzy. She didn't remember too much about what had happened. 'I feel like I was hit by a bus...' Slowly, she sat up, letting out a long sigh. 'How late is it? I need to go back to work...' Her eyes widened when she looked at her watch.'It's already this late?! Why didn't I set an alarm?!' She was too busy getting dressed to notice that her phone was ringing. It was her partner, who still remembered everything that had happened. But when she finally looked at her phone, it had already stopped ringing.
"Oh? Looks like (l/n) called me a few minutes ago." Still a bit sleepy, Kyoko thought about it for a moment, before deciding to call him back. She could ask him about the previous night, after all. 'Why isn't he picking up? He called me and let it ring for a while!'
What she didn't know, was that her 'innocent and helpful' partner didn't have the time to pick up just then. He had murdered yet another person, beginning to clean up the crime scene, like he always did. He wanted to inform the detective, but she didn't answer.
'What's wrong with this guy?' Kyoko was irritated, to say the least. 'What if it was something really important? Is he mad because I didn't pick up?' As fast as she possibly could, she grabbed her dark purple jacket. She had to find her partner, having no time to waste.
Said male dragged the dead body away, letting out a small groan. 'Why is that b-tch so f-cking heavy? I need to hurry, if I want this plan to work.' Slightly angry, he threw the body into a nearby river, watching it get tossed around by the raging water.
'Hopefully it will vanish before the others arrive here.' He looked at his phone and the message that he had sent to many different police officers. »Found another crime scene, body is already gone, need help. -(Y/n) (l/n)« He yawned. 'This is so extremely boring, d-mn.'
He then noticed that Kyoko had called him back, quickly dialing her number once more. 'F-ck, I didn't hear my phone ringing.' Quickly getting away from the rather loud river, he waited for his partner to answer. "Yes?" He smirked when he heard her voice, though she seemed a bit angry.
"Oh, Kirigiri! I'm sorry for not picking up! I was sending a message to some of our colleagues." (Y/n) said, walking around the place calmly. "Huh? You did? Why's that? Don't tell me another person was killed!" He had to hold back a small laugh, shaking his head.
"Wow, do you have a special sense for things like these?" Clearing his throat, he let his gaze wander over the finished crime scene. "You're correct. Another person was killed. I'm sure some of their DNA was left, so we can find out who had to vanish this time."
A sigh could be heard from the other end of the line. "Yes, let's hope some useful evidence was left this time. Also, I wanted to ask you... Did you walk me home last night? If so, I didn't say anything weird, did I? Did I act differently?"
He chuckled, remembering how vulnerable and soft she had been. "Of course not, Kirigiri. You may have been deprived of sleep, but it's quite impressive how collected you were able to stay." Seeing blue lights in the distance, he smirked. "The others are here. How about you come, too? I'll definitely need your help."
