"Good Night Zozo" she whispered tucking her hin. She gave her a kiss stroking her hair aside and smiled warmly at her big girl. She could never imagine a life without her, finding her all those years ago was one of the best things that ever happened.

"Good night mommy, love you" she said hugging her tight. "Love you too" she replied getting up from the bed. She walked towards the door hearing Zola shifting in her bed.

When Meredith was about to leave her daughters room she heard her calling her name. "Mom?" Zola said sitting up again. "Yes Zozo?" she said with a calm voice while turning around. Zola looked at her for a few seconds like she was trying to find the right words. "I missed him" she whispered. Meredith took a deep breath and smiled warmly. "Me too Zozo, I missed him too." she replied looking at her daughter with watery eyes and eventually left the room.

"Are they asleep?" she asked Nick when she came down the stairs. "Yes after two bedtime stories they eventually fell asleep" he smiled warmly at her. She walked over to the couch and sat down beside him. She didn't want him to go home tonight, she wanted him to stay over, but she also didn't wanna rush things.

She felt Nicks breath against her hair and she shifted slightly to find a more comfortable position. She was leaning onto his chest and he had his arms linked around her body. She put her hands on top of his starting to caress his knuckles with her thumb.

Even though he enjoyed her lying in his arms again he felt that's she was tense somehow. He turned his head to have a better look at her. "Hey Mer, you know you can talk to me" he said and squeezed her hands. He felt her turning around in his embrace.

She looked at him as he took a strand of her hair and tucked it behind her ear. She was a little bit nervous but his warm smile was kind of making her more relaxed. "I-I wanted to ask if you..." but she stopped. She felt him caressing her chin as he didn't stop looking at her.

"You don't have to be nervous, it's me, I'm here for you" he said and looked into her eyes. He wanted to provide her comfort and wanted her to know that he's here for her for whatever it was that she tried to tell him.

She took another deep breath and looked down at their hands again. She loved him for saying that. Nick never tried to push her and always just reminded her that he was there for her. "I don't want you to leave" she blurred out not wanting to look up cause she wasn't sure how he would react. Shortly after Meredith felt him lifting up her chin carefully and her eyes met a surprisingly bright smile.

She said was he was thinking about the past few minutes too, like she could read his mind. He has been really enjoying today and didn't want it too and either, but he also didn't wanna rush anything since he really wanted them to figure out how to work their busy life's together this time.

"I don't wanna leave either cause I have been really loving how this evening went." he replied and saw how she instantly released a breath. "But I don't wanna rush things and fall back into bad habits again." he continued watching her closely.

"I wanna figure out how to make it work cause I'm in for the long run this time." and as he fished his little speech he felt how Meredith was moving so she was sitting on top of his lap. He was a little nervous about how she would react since she didn't really like talking about her feelings but when he saw the corner of her lips moving into a beautiful smile he new she was agreeing with him.

She couldn't hold herself back from smiling anymore and put her arms around Nicks neck. "I'm in for the long run too Nick Marsh" and as soon as she said those words she felt his lips on hers again. It made the butterflies in her stomach dance even more than they did the whole day. It was a gentle but still passionate kiss that made her heart melt and she couldn't stop smiling.
