Prep room

"Mom, we're ready!" Zola says when she and her siblings were waiting at the door.
"I'm coming, I'm coming" Meredith replies while trying to get all her stuff together. She unfortunately slept in today after talking to Nick until midnight yesterday. She couldn't explain why she didn't hear her alarm this morning, but luckily Zola got her siblings ready, she was so proud how big she has become already.

"Okay let's go y'all, Bailey, Ellis don't forget your hat!" she says as she grabbed her keys and opened the door. "Please get in the car, mommy will be there in a second. Zola can you please buckle up Ellis?", "Yes mum of course" she replies as she opened the door for her little sister. Meredith looked into the mirror one last time doing some little touch ups before closing the door behind her. Taking one last breath she walked towards her car and backed out of her driveway.

Meredith arrives at the attending lounge after dropping off Zola and Bailey at school and Ellis at daycare. She takes off her jacket and puts it into her locker as well as changes into her scrubs as she hears someone come in. When she turns around Nick was standing in the door with two coffees in his hands. This immediately let her lips turn into a slight smile.

Nick walks towards the attending lounge hoping that Meredith would be there. He had gotten two coffees, one for her and one for him. After pushing down the door handle he spotted her changing into her scrubs. He enjoyed watching her for a few seconds until she noticed that someone had come and turns around.

"Hey Mer, good morning" he said while coming in. "Hey" she replies smiling. She steppes forward so she was closer to him. "I got coffee for us, do you want one?" he asks her taking her hand and starting to caress it slightly. She notices how his eyes are sparkling when she looks right into them. It was crazy what just being around him makes her feel. Her whole body felt warm and she couldn't help but smile. Without waiting any longer she kissed him on the lips and everything immediately felt complete.

Her lips were so soft. He turned his head a little so he could deepen their kiss. He slipped his tongue into her mouth while putting the coffee aside so he could pull her closer. After another minute he pulled away resting his forehead on hers. His arms rested around her waist while he keeps smiling at her. "I'm missed this, us, seeing you at the hospital, stealing kisses from you. Oh Mer, just seeing you here makes me so happy" he says putting a strand of hair behind her ear.

Nicks words just made her smile even brighter. "Nick, if you would only know how you..." she says while putting her arms around his neck stealing another soft kiss from his lips. "If I would only know what Mer?" he asks caressing her cheek with his thumb. "I'll tell u tonight" she smiles lovingly. "Thanks for the coffee and let's get to work Dr. Marsh" she smirks taking his hand. "Okay okay dr. Grey, let's go and safe life's" Nick says and laughs. "Oh, and no incidents which include your lips doctor" she says pretending to be really curious as she turned around. "Huh, as if I would be the one who intended..." he replies raising his eyebrows, but wasn't able to finish his sentence cause he already felt soft lips on his. When she pulled away she just smirkes at him pulling him towards the door.

"Hey you two" Amelia says as she walks around the corner with Maggie. "Hey how are you?" Maggie asks looking up from the chart in front of her. "We are good, how are you guys?" Meredith replies brushing Nicks hand slightly. Nick just smiles at them walking right next to her, having a hard time to not just grab her hand. They decided that they wouldn't tell anyone just yet, also including Meredith sisters. "We are fine as well" Maggie answers noticing the tension between Mer and Nick. "Are you ready for the big day? Amelia asks pulling up the patients file. "Yes, the patient is already prepped." Nick says while striking Meredith fingers just slightly again.

"I'll go see if the interns did everything as they should" he states leaving the sisters behind him. "Okay see u later" Mer replies smiling warmingly at him. Nick just smiles back while waiting for the next elevator.
As soon as the elavator doors close Maggie and Amelia turn around looking at Mer with big eyes. "What?!" she asks totally confused not knowing what they're getting at. "Excuse me..." Amelia immediately says staring at her with wide open eyes. "You were talking about you two as "we"" Maggie states complementing Amelia's expression. Meredith mouth stood open and she singhs trying to find a logical explanation which would convince her sisters, "Well we are colleagues...yk". Amelia and Maggie just looked at each other knowingly. "Sure" they replied at the same time smirking. They didn't need any more information, they already had their own answers figured out and surely didn't believe the colleagues thing.
