I woke up to banging on my door. I slowly opened my eyes. I was laying on my pillow with the comforter pulled over me. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I looked around and saw a note on the nightstand.

'I thought you needed the sleep. Also got you a gift. - Angel'

My heart fluttered at the note and I couldn't help but smile. I looked at the nightstand and saw a watch sitting on it. I grabbed it and saw it was a military style watch that had the digital time and also an alarm setting. God dammit, Angel. We barely knew each other and she was already getting me gifts.

More banging on the door. I groaned and yelled at whoever was knocking that I was coming. I swung my feet over the bed. Angel must have taken off my shoes, too. I stood and groggily walked over to the door, unlocking and opening it. A large man was standing at my door. I looked at him, confused and waiting for him to say anything.

He cleared his throat. "Negan wants to talk to you."

"Okay. Just give me a second." He told me to hurry and I rolled my eyes before closing the door. I slid my feet into the boots and saw my jacket folded neatly on my desk. I didn't remember doing anything like that. I grabbed it and it shook it open. I looked it over and saw that the blood stains were gone. Angel strikes again. I was going to have to find some way to return the favor. The girl worked a miracle on my favorite jacket. I shrugged it on and turned my light off. I closed the door and locked it, all while the man was insisting I hurry.

"Negan hates waiting." The man huffed.

"I figured that from the 5 times you've told me to hurry in the past minute." We started walking down the hall at a fast pace. "You got a name?"

"Joey. Everyone calls me Fat Joey." I snapped my head towards him.

"You fucking with me?" The man shook his head and I scoffed. "I would prefer to just call you Joey, if that's fine with you."

"Whatever you want. Just hurry." We practically ran up the stairs and down the hall to Negan's room. No one was standing guard this time. Joey quickly knocked on the door and fidgeted as we waited. The door swung open and there Negan stood, smug smile on his face.

"Fat Joey! I know you're not exactly the athletic type, but, shit, I expected you to bring my Pistol to me sooner than that." He leaned against the doorway and Joey stumbled over his words.

"I'm sorry sir!" He looked down, not meeting Negan's eyes. "I was knocking and knocking but she wouldn't answer."

I crossed my arms. " I was sleeping. Very soundly before you summoned me." Negan's head turned at my voice and a smile spread over his lips. He dismissed Joey and the man hurried off. Negan stood to the side, making room for me to step through.

I walked past Negan and was surprised at the spread of food on the coffee table. Some salad in a large bowl, rolls in a basket, and a large tray covered with a silver cloche. A bottle of wine and two glasses were also set on the table. Negan closed the door and put his hand on my back, leading me to the couch and chairs. I felt the heat of his hand through my jacket as I tried to figure out what the hell was going on.

He held out his hand, motioning for me to sit in one of the chairs. He sat on the leather couch across from me and that's when I saw his bat, Lucille, leaning against the arm rest as before. I slowly sat, eyeing the food on the table. My stomach grumbled and I wondered what time it was. I looked out the windows and saw it was completely dark. Shit, I must have been out for a while. Negan laced his fingers together and leaned towards me, leaning his elbows on his thighs. He watched me for a few moments, not saying a word.
