"Halaaa..." Sarah said in a whining tone. "Galit na si Mike sa atin."
The 4 ladies sat at the seats at the back of the scorching classroom in the right wing of GV. They were waiting for their Pol Gov professor along with all their all their other blockmates who were all chatting around in their own social groups. It was 12:15pm and their next subject was supposed to start anytime soon.
"Sa 'yo lang! Alam mo naman ayaw ni Mike na inaasar siya ng ganyan eh," Joy chided.
"Uhmm... Bakit ba nagalit si Mike?" Alora asked, still pretty confused from Michael suddenly walking out on them.
"Di rin kami sure eh. Si Mike kasi..." Hera started to explain while she was fixing herself in front of her phone's mirror, "Pinaninindigan niya na ang mga kaibigan niya o kahit sinong malapit sa kanya ay hindi niya mapapahamak."
She put down her phone, finally finished with her makeover session.
"Weird nga yung lalaking yun eh. Pala-joke pero kapag seryosong bagay, masyadong serious," Hera continued. "Iniisip niya na masyadong delikado magkaroon ng feelings, or in short, crush habang nag-aaral. "
"Pero magbabati rin yan satin mamaya. Magugulat ka na lang magna-knock-knock joke siya sa 'yo," Joy said.
Alora was still puzzled. Michael sounded like an extremely uptight guy from his friends' descriptions, Alora thought. But that guy she talked to seemed to be quite loose when they were chatting back at the chicken chops line. She supposed she'll just have to get to know him more later on.
"Pero mukha talaga kayong bagay Alora," Sarah said with a grin.
Alora just stared at Sarah for a second then looked straight at the whiteboard in front of the classroom then made an annoyed expression. Apparently Sarah was also getting on her nerves as well.
"Oh Alora kuwento ka naman tungkol sa sarili mo," Hera asked curiously.
"Oo nga. Since wala pa naman si Ma'am Pol Gov , besides being tall, white and beautiful, ano pa bang meron sa buhay mo?" Joy asked.
The three ladies picked up their seats to arrange in a circle so they could listen more easily to Alora. She smiled widely at them. She was really happy the ladies were so eager to get to know her.

30 minutes have passed with no professor in sight. The block president went in front of the class and called their attention atop the podium as she read from her phone in a loud, clear voice
"Guys according to Ma'am Pol Gov wala raw siya ngayon so you may leave the classroom if you won't have any more classes after me. At ito pa guys, nagtext din sa akin si Sir Mathematics of Investment. Hindi rin siya makakarating so "...see you next meeting na lang." So anyway let's call it a day and see you guys sa Thursday and happy free day tomorrow!" She finished excitedly then the whole class shouted in celebration.
"Heh! Ang saya-saya!" Sarah said happily.
"Buti na lang 'di dumating si Ma'am no? Asan na ba kasi si Mike?" Joy said with concern.
1pm...
The 4 ladies walked to the canteen to get a little snack until...
"SI MICHAEL!" Sarah, Joy and Hera shouted in unison at the sight of a boy passed out just outside the perimeter of the GV left wing.
CRASH!!!
The GV building's frame suddenly collapsed and it was a good thing Michael was lying down at a safe distance from the building.
The four were startled at the sudden loud crash. They reluctantly rushed to their friend and checked him out. Hera knelt down to get a better look at him. She checked his pulse and put her ahead on his chest to hear if he was breathing.
Students started to crowd around the scene and a lot of whispering started.
"Buhay pa siya. Pero ang bilis ng tibok ng puso niya," Hera announced and was very worried.
"Bakit wala man lang pumansin sa kanya na nakahiga lang dito sa gitna ng daan?!" Joy said in anger.
The two other ladies watched in shock. Sarah felt really guilty for what she may have done. She just made a worried expression.
Alora didn't fare any better. She wasn't willing to see a guy she just talked to earlier die right in front of her.
A male University Security Guard pushed through the crowds. "Anong meron? Anong meron?"
He saw the unconscious boy then began to say something into his walkie talkie.
"Tabi, tabi. Alis diyan," he said as he approached then lifted Michael in his arms. He carried him through the crowd and ran toward the school clinic.
The four ladies rushed through the crowds to follow the guard. Alora was hesitant to see if this could get ugly.
They got to the clinic and saw the guard set him down on a bed. An elderly nurse tended to him immediately.
"Kaklase niyo 'to?" the nurse asked.
"O-opo!" Sarah said nervously.
"Hintayin niyo na lang siya sa labas. Mukhang hinimatay lang sa init," the guard said.
The four ladies went outside and decided to buy snacks to eat while they waited for him.
They waited around for about an hour right outside the clinic and sitting on the floor, in silence as they ate their snacks. A guilty aura built up around them.
"Guys... Kailangan ko na umuwi," Hera said sadly.
"Ako rin..." Alora said.
"Sige kami na hihintay kay Mike ng isa pang oras. Kung hindi pa siya gising, aalis na rin kami," Joy resolved.
Sarah sat in silence as she slurped up her Japanese noodles.
The two ladies understood the atmosphere and said their goodbyes. Then they went out of the school.
As they were walking to to where they could ride a jeepney at the Round Table which was a short walk from PLM, Hera broke the silence.
"Saya kaming kasama no?" She forced a smile to cheer them both up.
