Christmas vacation ended as jolly as expected with, thankfully, no incident. It's back to school.

Mrs. Nadora was more than happy to welcome her students with a quiz on finding medians and deciles.

"Tama na ang vacation mode ng mga utak niyo ha," she said with the same prissy and intimidating demeanor that made her so popular among the students. "Madali lang yan, lalo na siguro ngayon na ang dami niyong kinain nung Pasko."

As the class was answering the quiz quietly, a student stood at the classroom's doorway calling for Mrs. Nadora. The professor got up from her desk and went to talk with him. After their little chat, the student went away and Mrs. Nadora had that disappointed look she always gave whenever her students didn't pass her quiz. Contrary to popular belief, she was the most caring and devoted teacher despite her strict regimens. She wanted the young minds she was molding to really get the most out of the subject. Michael didn't give his 100% effort in her class but even he could attest to that fact.

"Okay time's up people! Ipasa niyo na lang yan, next meeting na natin ichecheck, papagusapan pa namin yung College day niyo," the professor said. A few students whined since they weren't finished yet but the rest were excitedly whispering about the college day.

"Class quiet! Magpapasa na lang maingay pa!" she scolded.

Mrs. Nadora collected the papers and packed her stuff into her hand bag then she went out of the classroom.

Atleast 2 hours were left free for the whole class. Now everybody was talking about the much awaited College of Human Development Day, 2 days later. It was a day of fashion shows, singing and dancing competitions, and the highlight of the night: Mr. and Mrs. CHD. Festivities and no classes were just the right mix for one special day and it was going to happen at the San Andres Sports Complex. The whole block just couldn't wait. The block president, Jell, stood in front of the class, about to announce something.

"Guys, people of the universe, tahimik muna please. Nagtext sa akin si Sir Raul Lan at Ma'am Mango, hindi daw sila papasok ngayon busy daw kasi. Si Sir Ren may inaasikasong contest, kaya walang Filipino ngayon," those announcements got the class into a frenzy. They didn't have classes for the rest of the day again. Good since they could rest, but bad that they were going to miss classes again.

"Wait guys, hindi pa tapos," Jell gestured for the class to keep quiet. "Bukas, si Ma'am Afraz lang ang may klase, si Ma'am Chi at Ma'am Fally wala rin sila kasi may sakit."

Michael thought, "Seriously? Lord, gusto mo talaga kami mag-College day na no? Thank You!"

"Ughhh. Get ready for the "tambak assignments game", ilang araw na namimiss natin sa mga prof natin. May plano pa kaya silang pumasok?" Joy said.

"Haayyy. Si Ma'am Nadora lang hindi napapagod no? Pero wala rin, mukang bagsak na ako sa mga subjects na yan." Hera said.

"Ang negative niyo guys. Uy Sarah, gising na! wala na tayong klase," Michael shook Sarah to wake her up.

"Uwi na ako guys ha, inaantok na ko," Alora yawned widely. All of them just decided to go home that hot morning.

2 days later.... 9am

Michael had no problem getting to the venue since the Sports Complex was just at the end of their street. He entered through the gates and saw the beautiful scene of excellent event designing all across the whole building. There were white streamers hung all across the ceiling, tarpaulin banners with "CHD Mythz" printed on them were hung on the walls, game and food booths were placed at the east and west sides of the Complex and each of them were decorated intricately with royal blue cartolina on all the sides. Blue cloth-covered monobloc chairs for the audience were set in the center, a long red carpet cut through the middle aisle up to the stage. The place looked regal, the CHD Student Council really outdid themselves.
