Cat cornered Heather as soon as she could. Which was in the kitchen a she took out plates and wine glasses.

"I just mentioned it to Darius last night, I wasn't even sure if he'd show," Heather whispers, shrugging.

Cat has her arms crossed, narrowing her eyes at her sister. "Oh really?" She waves her hand up and down Heather's outfit. "Festive casual."

Heather sighs. "Ugh, okay fine." Heather walks around Cat to open the drawer with the knives and forks. "Whatever. Unlike you, I actually want you to meet the guy that I like. And I don't see what the problem is, I mean, we have plenty of food."

"I promised Vincent it would just be the three of us."

"And he just said that he has intense feelings for you," Heather grins, nodding her head. Cat blinks slowly. This was going nowhere. "Besides, doesn't it look like they're getting along?" Heather shrugs one shoulder as the two women look at their men.

"Wow! So, a club promoter? Uh, what club?" Vincent asks. He wants to get to know this man if he's going to be around Heather, who will be around Cat.

"Wednesday night at Paint and on Thursday over at Dubstep."

Vincent points, sitting forward. "I've heard of it," he grins.

"Great! That means I'm doin' my job!" Darius laughs. "You know what?" He reaches into his coat beside him and takes out a couple of cards. "You should text me sometime." He gives one to Vincent. "Hook you up with VIP," he winks.

"That..." Vincent takes it between two fingers. "Sounds cool, I will check it out."

"Cool, so Heather says you're a doctor. What hospital do you work at?"

Before Vincent can answer, Cat comes up, leaning on the side of the sofa. "Actually, he's inbetween right now."

"Wait, I thought you just said - "

"I actually just got a new job!" Vincent exclaims the same time Darius starts protesting. Vincent turns to look up at Cat. "I just haven't told you yet."

"Oh! You should've told me," Cat says and puts her hand on his shoulder. "Honey," she adds awkwardly smiling.

"Ha," Vincent laughs once. Oh God, we are so ruining this.

"Dinner?" Cat pipes up then, nodding towards the dining table.

"Cheers!" Heather giggles as the four of them toast to dinner.
While they were drinking, Vincent had his water, Darius's phone buzzed in his pocket.

"One second," he excuses himself and reads the message, holding the screen so only he would be able to see.
Vincent looks at him as he reads, having seen the now worried look on Darius's face. His heart was also beating unevenly.
"They're begging me just to use their brand. These sponsors," Darius shakes his head and laughs. "They give you free swag and then act like you owe him something."

He's lying. Vincent looks down at his water glass.
"Don't you?" Cat asks beside him. "I mean, nothing's free. You always have to give something back," Cat smiles. She also noticed his expression change when he was on the phone.

Cat!" Heather says while looking at her and attempting to cut her steak with a butter knife.

"Nah, it's cool, my brother's a cop too."

Heather looks at Vincent after giving Darius a smile. He is staring at Darius.
"Vincent are you okay?" He was being very quiet and she thought maybe something was wrong.
