(A/N: Season 1 Episode 21 -
"Date Night")

Cat stared at her phone calender worriedly, biting her lip, standing in the precinct gym locker room.

"It's a good thing you and I have been working out," Tess grins at her coming out of the stalls.
"Because we have a rooftop pool and jacuzzi in our future." She looks at Cat and opens her locker door. "I spoke to Joe and starting tomorrow we're all rotating security detail at the Ashcroft Hotel."

"Cool," Cat says, looking at her phone again, trying to count.

"Don't you wann know who we're securing?" Cat smiles and shrugs. "Okay well, who's got a hit on him by a major drug family and would insist on being out up in a five star hotel  instead of a safe house?" Tess takes off her jacket.

"Gabriel Lowan," Cat answers without looking up.

"What are you playing on that thing?" Tess laughs.

"Just looking at my calender."

"Well, speaking of calenders, Joe's making the assignments and since I do have a little bit of pull, we're guarenteed a good shift," Tess smirks.
"After which we can slip away."

Cat just stares at her wide eyed, trying to not pass out or throw up. "Security gets to use the pool?" she asks, masking her concern.

"When you have an Access card like us you can."

Cat sighs and closes her eyes."Tess, I'm ten days late," she says and swallows, sitting down on the bench.

Tess's smile disappears and Cat's weirdness makes sense now. "Oh."
She goes to sit next to her with an equally wide eyed expression.

"Don't 'Oh' like that," Cat panics. "We have been partners for a while so maybe...maybe we're off schedule?" Cat and Tess's period times were usually in sync, and on time. Every month. Maybe a day give or take but never this far apart.

"Sorry," Tess looks at Cat's stomach. "It's just...my head went to Breaking Dawn Part 2," Tess says, visibly restraining the laughter.

"Okay, this isn't funny!" Cat stared at her as she snorts every second. "What would I do?"

Tess composes herself and then she finally says, "You're probably not. It's probably just stress. I mean, you're harboring a half human boyfriend. That's stressful."

A lot of probablies in there...but Tess is right... "Right. Stress." Vincent is not going to be happy...

"I thought we were careful," Vincent says behind Cat as she pressed the timer on her phone after peeing on the home pregnancy test.

"We were. And it's probably negative but we will know in three minutes." Cat turns around. Vincent is playing with a martini mixer, watching her. He looks worried...and it feels awkward...and like she thought, not happy...
"So, should we talk about the weather?" Cat jokes. He looks down at his hands. "Oh! I have this security detail at this fancy hotel so we - "

"Catherine, this can't happen," Vincent interrupts her babbling. He looks up at her. When she came in and told him she was late and needed to take a test, he went into shutdown mode until she actually peed on the stick. "My DNA? Passing that on?" He shakes his head.

"We don't know anything for sure right now," she smiles, showing him it's okay and that she wasn't panicking and neither should he.

"Just..." Vincent stands unsteadily on his feet. "Even if it was genetically...
okay...I..." He huffs. "I'm supposed to be dead," he ignores the fading smile on Catherine's face, even though he is looking in her eyes, "You know?Forget coaching little league, I'm a wanted man! The child will be hunted too!" He pants and his eyes flit between hers, his heart speeding up. He was seeing everything that could be and go wrong with having a baby.
