Gabe and Tyler are on speaker with Catherine on the phone. She tells them everything she sees and they can hear her walking.
"Okay, hope you can talk me through this," she says."Don't worry, we'll figure it out." Tyler is sitting behind him as he paces to and from the desk. She is ready at the computer to do her bit when he tells her to.
"Okay, here goes. It says confirm password."
"Well, didn't the guy in the video give you one?"
"The guy ok the video is dead," Cat hisses. "There wasn't anything in Evan's files?"
Gabe looks at Tyler. "Nothing," he answers Catherine. Tina shakes her head.
"Ugh, I can't believe this is happening! Not when we are this close."
Gabe stands and stares at the floor for a minute. "Try Chimera. C, H, I - "
"I know how to spell it," Catherine interrupts him. "Why did you pick that word?"
"Just trust me, type it in." He listens to her type.
"It worked. We're in. Oh my God! This is everything names, places, all of their distributed files."
Gabe rushes to Tyler's side. "I need to see what you're seeing."
"Gabe, even if I had a flashdrive, it wouldn't hold a fraction of this data. I can email you some of the files?"
"No, we can download directly to another server. It'll be faster. I need you to go to the Network Connections Menu, upper right hand corner and type in this IP address. 2, 7, 5, 2, 8, 3, 3, 6, 8, 4, 3, 3."
"Done. Now what?"
Tyler waits as her program hacks the network and then it starts trasporting the files immediately. Gabe stares at it. Tyler was a genius. He grins. "It worked. We got 'em."
"Okay, just give me a second, and I'll send you the most important files."
"No, we can control the download from here." He looks down at Tyler after he mutes Catherine and says, "We're gonna get everything."
***
"Okay, just give me a second, and I'll send you the most important files." Cat wanted time to delete anything related to cross-species, Vincent or her mother.
"No, we can control the download from here," Gabe says. Does that mean they'll get it all?
Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no...
Her mind is on repeat as she starts to look through the patient files as fast as she can. Luckily they're placed alphabetically and she finds KELLER pretty quickly. "Keller," she whispers, opening the file. Vincent's clean cut face is staring back at her with all his bios and tests and subject informations. "This is not good," she says, reading through one or two tests.*
Vincent was sitting on the rooftop of the building overlooking Gabe Lowan's apartment. He kept a very close eye on the man. He turned his head to listen to his conversation with his girlfriend. He'd of course heard his conversation with Catherine too, which he wasn't so excited about.
"We might need a back up site. This is a lot of data," the woman says.
"Is everything alright?"
"So far. I'm shifting everything over to the server at the mansion now." The computer beeps twice. "Whoa, she needs to make sure nothing interrupts this download. They have some pretty advanced security measures. If it doesn't finish, all the files are corrupted." The woman looks up at Gabe worriedly. "We would lose everything."
