Kayla POV
If someone were to ask me if I thought a man could bring me to my knees with pleasure, I would have said no in a heartbeat. Last night I fell asleep riding a high I've never experienced before. We may have kept things "tame" for Whiskey's normal liking, sticking to no sex, but even this morning, waking up, I felt a wetness pool between my legs.
Suddenly, something warm pressed against my thighs, and I tried to rub them together, but couldn't. Opening my eyes, I found bright brown ones staring back at me from between my legs. Fuck, even with bedhead Whiskey looks perfect.
His hands skimmed up my body and pinched my nipple, causing me to grip the pillow beneath me and a moan escaped me. After licking me clean, he traveled kisses up my body, stopping at my lips. Tasting myself on his lips was new, and it excited me.
Whiskey hummed, pulling away. "Good morning, love. Sleep well?" he asked.
I nodded my head, unable to respond with words.
He smiled, crawled off of me, and headed to the bathroom. Water from the shower turned on, and I knew I desperately needed a shower before people saw me. Sitting up, I stopped short. Stiffness and pain radiate throughout my body, including a palace I've never been before.
Whiskey reappeared, helping me sit up, and picked me up carrying me into the bathroom.
"I can walk, you know," I remarked.
He rolled his eyes, kissed my temple, and said, "I know, but that doesn't mean I'll let you." I smiled as he set me down on the edge of a bubble filled bathtub. I carefully placed my feet in the scorching hot water, forcing myself to relax.
He gently nudged me in the water, and I obliged. Once fully submerged, Whiskey stripped himself, and I couldn't help but stare. Smirking, he lowered himself into the water behind me.
We sat in silence until the water was cold, and our fingers were prunes. Whiskey also refused to let me dry myself off and took his time, not missing a single drop. No one has taken care of me the way Whiskey has and I enjoyed it.
Whiskey pulled away, gently grabbed my waist, and forced me to face the mirror and stare at me. My neck, hips, thighs, and back were covered in bruises or marks, which I hadn't noticed.
He pulled me against his warm chest and asked, "How do you feel?"
"Good," I replied.
"What hurts?"
A blush took over my face. "Nowhere now, or at least nothing I can't handle," I replied.
"If you hurt, tell me. I don't care how small it is, or how little the pain is, you come get me," he commanded. I nodded in agreement and got dressed and ready for the day.
*****
The day went by in a blur, and before I knew it, everyone was getting ready for the rehearsal dinner. Whiskey spent most of the day in the kitchen with Tiny, while the girls and I tried to keep both Tiger and Blade calm.
Ginger's due date is fast approaching, which causes Blade to become stressed, anxious, and overprotective. However, Ginger wasn't having it; kicking him out of every room she was in, slamming the door in his face.
"I swear if that man does not leave me alone, I will end his life and raise this baby on my own!" she shouts, loud enough for Blade to hear. We all stood there, waiting for Blade to leave and Ginger to calm down.
Eventually, she sat down and let me do her makeup. A makeup artist will come tomorrow for the wedding, but tonight the girls asked me to do theirs and I was happy to do it.
Tiger was next and seemed more tense than normal. We sat in silence for a while until she broke the silence. "So," she ventured. "I noticed you didn't come home the other night."
Blushing, I turned around and grabbed the eye shadow, saying nothing. Tiger smirked before closing her eyes for me. "I'm happy for you Kayla and I really hope Whiskey is treating you right," she implored, opening her eyes.
I smiled, knowing he has gone above and beyond. From last night to this morning, he made sure I was okay both emotionally and physically, which was refreshing and something I've never experienced before.
"I promise, Tiger, he's taking good care of me," I smiled and she seemed satisfied.
Two hours later, we all piled into cars and headed to the beach for the rehearsal dinner. A long, low sitting family-style table sat on the beach, with string lights above it. Pillows and blankets were on the floor for us. The table had seashells, lanterns, and flowers lined the center. While plates, glassware, and name tags told us where to sit.
Everyone took their seats; the men gave the blankets to the women, and we all settled in. Tiger and Ace took the head of the table, Blade, Ginger, Shotgun, Rachel, Whiskey, and I sat on the left. Killer, Lilly, Tiny, Haley, Gears, and Raine sat on the right.
We laughed, watched the sunset, and enjoyed some of the best food I have ever had and went over the plans for tomorrow. Everyone knew what they were doing, but the more we went over it, the less anxious Tiger felt. Despite our small grumbles, Ace had everyone go through it one more time to appease his soon-to-be bride.
Clinking of glass came from Ace as he and Tiger stood up and everyone fell silent.
"Thank you guys for being here tonight and making this special for us," Tiger said. "It hasn't been easy and we, or I, have not made things easier for you this past week, but I really appreciate everything you have done for us. Tomorrow I will finally marry my best friend, and thankfully my insanity hasn't scared this guy away yet," she laughed, nudging Ace, who simply kissed her head in return. "Whatever shitshow happens tomorrow, just know I am beyond thankful for all of you and I cannot wait to get married. So here's to you!" She raised her glass, and we did in return.
Ace wasn't much for words and said a simple "thank you" before returning to the dinner.
We called it a night earlier than normal, knowing tomorrow would be a big day for everyone. Ace and Tiger headed to their separate rooms for one last night and I said good night to Whiskey, wishing I didn't have to. I craved his touch, but knew my body probably needed time to heal.
Closing the door behind me, the girls and I headed to bed, but while the others slept, I dreamt of hands roaming my body and Whiskey's lips on my skin.
