Veronica's P.O.V.
I got dressed up for dinner tonight, Brent and I are joining Lacey and Jack on a double date. They told me they had some pretty shocking news for us. I made sure I looked nice since this restaurant is one of the fancier one in Kalamazoo. Brent walked in, he was looking very snazzy in his suit and tie. He spun me around, he told me that I looked gorgeous, I couldn't help but blush.
"Hey, I'm going to start the car, come down when you're ready." His kissed me, then walked downstairs. I checked my hair one more time then met up with Brent in the car. We were heading to this fancy Italian restaurant called Zazios. It apart of this massive hotel that's right in the middle of downtown Kalamazoo.
We walked in, it just smelt divine.
"What's the last name?" A dark haired man asked us.
"Gilinsky." Brent said.
"Follow me please." He walked us over to a larger table, where we see Lacey, Jack, Shawn, Barbara, Abby, and Dillon.
"Hi Guys!" Lacey smiling at us. I sat beside her and Brent, he held my hand under the table.
"Hello, I'm Troy, and I'll be your waiter-" He looked up at me, his green eyes widen. "Umm.. and what would you like to drink tonight?" He looked at Barbara.
"8 waters for now." Barbara said, he hurry off to the kitchen. Once we got our waters we then ordered 2 Margherita Pizza. Then Jack and Lacey stood up,
"So we got some big news to tell you.." Jack said looking into Lacey's eyes.
"We're getting married!" Lacey held out her hand, showing off her ring. It was stunning, Lacey such a lucky girl. They then sat down and told us about the wedding ideas they had, Lacey looked at me and asked,
"Will you be my maid of honor?"
"Oh my goodness, of course!" I hugged her. She also asked for Barbara and Abby to be her bride maids.
After dinner we were getting ready to leave while waiters were clearing off the table. Then Troy 'trips' and pours two glasses of wine on me. He stood up laughing, while everyone stared at me, Brent ushered me out followed by Lacey, Abby, and Barbara, who then took my to the women's bathroom.
"That jerk." I rolled my eyes. We tried our best to get it out of my dress, I know looked like an absolute mess and its all because of him. He is still probably upset that I didn't like him, but what really is confusing me is that he has a girlfriend. He and Hope are dating now for almost 8 months now.
I walk out of the bathroom feeling the urge to start crying. Brent put his coat around me, as we walked out. We then all went our separate ways towards our cars.
"Who was he?" Brent asked with a bit of anger in his voice.
"Who, Troy. He was in one my college classes and he said he had a crush on me, and I rejected him." I looked at Brent.
"And he's still mad?" He asked me.
"I guess." I stared out the window. "But hey our friends are getting married!" I try to brighten the mood.
"Yeah, and you're going to be the maid of honor." He smiled. I nodded, it was amazing to think that Lacey is going to be the first one to get married. To be honest I kinda thought Barbara and her ex-boyfriend Jacob were going to get married first. After thinking about Lacey's wedding, I fell asleep in the passenger side seat.
I woke up with Brent arms around my waist. His brown eyes met up with my green ones.
"Veronica, what if we got an apartment together?" He asked.
"That would be nice." I thought out loud.
"But where at, is the question?" He sat up.
"California?" I guessed.
"Maybe... But we should think about." He kissed my forehead.
