erling was never really one to show you that much physical affection, especially in front of other people. always acting tough in front of his friends, not wanting to show you much pda at all. but you, as a person who loved being physical in every relationship that you had, found it hard sometimes that he didn't even want to hold your hand in public sometimes. however, with it being quite early in your relationship, erling has simply struggled opening up to you, and allowing himself to be vulnerable. it started out with small touches in public, until he couldn't leave you alone, always having to have his arm wrapped around you. at home he was even more clingy. whenever you would be laid in bed reading a book, he would always come and lay his head on your chest, asking you to read your book to him. "what's gotten into you, hm?" you giggled, as he snuggled further into your chest. "i just missed you, that's all," he started drawing patterns on the exposed skin of your neck. "you literally saw me thirty minutes ago," you pressed a kiss on his head, loving this side of him. knowing that it just took him a while to show this side of him. knowing that it just took him a while to show this side of himself, and in fact he was very touch starved, he just didn't want to show it.
