𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐘    things Megaera disliked about King's Landing. The Keep, most people, the stench, the heat. But the love she held for the things she did not hate outweighed the  bad when it came to living in the smelly, cruel city. Despite popular belief due to her persona the Princess loved with all her heart when she did and she loved many things.

She loved Maenor and of course Vermithor, her beloved beast, she loved the snarky letters she received from her somehow still alive and kicking grandmother, she loved the family of the Princess that treated her as her own.

Megaera loved to feel the wind on her face when she flew and she loved and loved and loved. She loved easily.

Something easy to forget in moments like the one the Princess found herself in that morning. Snarling, covered in mud and shoving Aemond's face in the muddy ground of the training yard.

Such a hard thing to imagine the snarling child as someone that loved so softly and so truly.

"Get off of me!" The second son snarled beneath her and Megaera snarled back viciously as if she was Vermithor himself.

"Apologize first!" She ground out through gritted teeth. Megaera slammed his head in the mud again. "Apologize!" She demanded over the boy's groans of pain.

While her mother had been accepted into court by her cousin King Viserys when she came to King's Landing nothing could change the fact that her mother was a bastard. That Megaera was technically a bastard despite her Targaryen blood running as true as the boy she was making eat mud.

The guards started running in, trying to separate the two fighting children again. It was a common occurrence by now for Prince Aemond to speak without thinking and for Princess Megaera to swing her fists without hesitating a second.

The girl pressed Aemond's face further in the mud and he finally relented, "Fine! Fine! I'm sorry! Now get off me!" He flailed his arms around, trying to push the Princess off.

With a satisfied smile, Megaera untangled her hand from his hair with one last push of Aemond's head to the ground and fell to sit a few feet away.

"Hmm. Good boy." She gave him her nastiest smile as she ignored his glare and flushed face and stood up, dusting off her dress. "There'll be no need for you I'm afraid gentlemen. The problem was settled." Megaera smiled at the guards and with one last smug look towards the seething boy on the ground, she walked away.
