The nurse came shortly after I called for her, a relieved smile on her face as she entered.

"Good morning Ms Hill, how are you feeling?" she began before discussing the depth of my injuries, Mal did try to heal me during the crash, successfully doing so for the most severe injuries, but I wanted to hold off being completely healed to avoid even more suspicion and investigating since I did crash a spaceship.

So after re-dressing and bandaging my stitches and cuts, one impressive new scar might I add will now be left across my abdomen. The nurse, Claire, as I now know took a short breath before becoming uneasy, which made me feel uncomfortable.

"Ms Hill, because of your status, you will finish your care at the facilities in Avengers Tower" She pauses taking another breath whilst I furrow my brows, status? as in public status or clearance level? Going to question, as if knowing she tilts her head smiling as she huffs out a chuckle.

"Forgive for being skittish, I just- well- I remember when your mother used to work here, and I remember watching you on tv a couple of months ago" She adds. Closing my mouth I stare at her blinking a couple of times. Oh, the tv broadcast where I was sprayed with bullets and was presumed dead.

"Oh, well - I" She shakes her head waving her hands to discontinue the conversation. "I don't need to know how you managed to survive that, miraculous as it is, I am relieved. Along with your friends at Avengers tower who are relieved and patiently waiting for you to return" She sends me a lopsided grin as I chuckle.

"Patient? Are we talking about the same people? I'm surprised they aren't in here now" I add, the underlying question is what makes her freeze for a moment before smiling again.

"Well a couple of them did try to come, but security has been reinforced and tasked with deterring them away from you- before you question, it wasn't the hospital's decision it was the police department as they insist on questioning you when you can"

Pursing my lips I scrunch my nose as I look away "So I suppose they want to know what I was doing on an aircraft and why I crashed?" I ask, she makes some sound of amusement before nodding. "Oh they are very determined to figure it out, also how you managed to survive with minimal injuries" She adds, feeling a rush of warmth flood my face I look at her sheepishly. "I uh-" she smirks, walking to my side and unlocking both handcuffs trapping me to the bed before helping me get out of the bed since my other lasting injuries were dealt to them, annoyingly so as now when I place pressure on my left foot pains blooms throughout my whole leg and makes me wince.

"You're going to need to work on your poker face, but don't worry your sister has explained in minor detail that I shouldn't feel the need to question you"

"Maria? You spoke to her?" I ask, Claire smiles chuckling as she guides me slowly toward the bathroom, where I grab onto the railings and look at myself in the mirror.

"I have spoken to her, and a few avengers, who even threatened to buy the hospital if they weren't allowed to see you" Amidst my self-pitying at my dreadful appearance I turn to her amused lifting my eyebrows. "Tony?" She hums before shutting the bathroom door and leaving me a fresh set of clothes to change into after I shower and use the bathroom.

Walking out after doing such, my gaze turned to the window, as the blinds were now up and I could see the blue sky which although Xandar's sky is similar, their sky is not quite as comforting as the blue represented in Earth's sky.

"Sorry what were we talking about.. oh Tony, yeah he can get carried away I'm sorry about that, he just - actually when I see him I will reprimand him for threatening to buy the hospital and I-" I begin rambling before someone clears their throat and I turn around smile dropping, as the police officers from before returned and were entering my room.

"Ms Hill, are you ready to go?" One of the officers asks. I look to Claire who sheepishly looks away. "Ms Hill- are you ready to go?" The man reiterates, whilst the other officer walks toward me holding handcuffs. I look at him unamused. "Is that necessary?" Claire asks, becoming equally frustrated.

"Chief's orders, besides there is an active investigation surrounding her"

"So? She isn't dangerous, there is no need for the restraints" Claire continues, sighing I step toward the man holding my wrists out for him to cuff, which he does, without hesitating. This only belittles me further as I am escorted out of the room, with Claire trailing behind us as she rattles off things I need to do, like redress my wound every so often and whatnot, which goes over my head. Especially since entering the lobby and everyone's gaze focuses on me, the handcuffs jingle and rattle and the officer pulls me, nudging me to continue walking.

"Daddy, is that girl? Is she the one from the news!?" Murmurs like the little boys to their father, become more prominent along with gasps, making me shrink further into myself.

Also in the lobby however was Maria, who came over to me as soon as she caught my gaze. Her cold glare only turned to the officers after looking down at my handcuffed wrists. "I assure you these aren't necessary" Was all she said before the doors opened and another couple of men in military uniform came over to us.

Pricking my interest I look at them with a raised eyebrow. "Is this the part where I say I want a lawyer?" I snark, which doesn't amuse them as they block Maria away from me and guide me, by forms of nudging and rough grasping and lead me outside where a car is waiting for us, which I am again guided into and from there taken to the police station. Whilst Maria stands in the hospital lobby mouth apart and fidgeting hands instantly reaching for her phone.
