It was late last night, when Rhys was asked by his Aunt Robin to pick out a new film for them at the Video Store. He wasn't exactly pleased to go, since he worked there on Saturdays, but he decided to take this as an opportunity to force them to watch Twilight. It came out a while ago, but Rhys felt like giving it a rewatch after being enlightened about the supernatural side of the world.

He opened the door, a little bell notifying his presents, walking directly to the romance section. He glanced over the racks of CDs and even some cassettes until he found what he was looking for, smiling proudly when he did.

The bell rang again, Rhys looked up to see Jackson Whittmore, he held back a groan of annoyance. "Can somebody help me find 'The Notebook'?" he called, Rhys stifled a laugh.

He then paused, noticing the silence that laced the room, except for the constant ringing of a telephone and the buzzing of a light.

Strange, he thought.

Rhys moved out from his hiding spot glancing around cautiously.

"What are you doing here?" Jackson sneered, once he noticed Rhys.

Rhys huffed, turning around to face him, "Hate to break it to you, mate, but this is a public store." He said sarcastically.

"Whatever, have you seen any workers?" he asked.

"No, I haven't..." he replied, walking up the isle, away from Jackson, when he stopped in his tracks.

Behind one of the shelfs was a pair of legs that lay on the ground. Rhys slowly inched towards them, holding back a scream when he saw a man with a slashed neck.

Jackson came up beside him, letting out a shaky breath; he immediately stepped backwards, knocking into a ladder. It hit the lights, they began to spark electricity as they fell to the floor, Rhys jumped out of the way breathing heavily as they were enveloped in darkness.

The loud crash seemed to catch the attention of something, as a low growl echoed through the store. Rhys' heart stopped, frozen in fear, as he spotted blood-red glowing eyes down the aisle. He quickly jumped behind the nearest rack dragging Jackson with him, covering his mouth with his hand but he was able to shrug it free.

"What the hell are you doing, Corvus?" He exclaimed angrily.

Rhys ignored his comment, and took a peak around the corner, his heart in his throat. He immediately turned back around, as something darted into his vision. He inhaled the air deeply, turning to Jackson, who also looked terrified.

"Keep quiet," he whispered urgently, Jackson nodded his head slightly.

CD cases began to fall off the rack above their heads, Rhys closed his eyes desperately praying that it would leave.

Another growl pervaded the room, sending a dark shiver through his bones. A crash was heard followed by another, and another, Rhys pushed Jackson out from the racks, letting them crash onto his back, he let out a cry, as he fell flat, his torso trapped under the weight.

Jackson immediately got up and dashed for the door, leaving Rhys helplessly on the floor.

Rhys moved slightly, trying to free himself, but instantly paused as a shadow materialised before him, it loomed over him like a mountain. All his senses went blank, as he felt a claw dig into the side of his neck, he gritted his teeth together, trying not to scream in pain.
