The nightmare after Christmas (Jack x reader)

13. The condition

I followed the kids down to their tree house.

In the basement, we stood on some kind of roulette, skeletons and other things, that looked like games. I looked around, until my eyes were set on two dices, "Is he a gambler?"

The children snickered "He is a bad loser that is for sure!"

"I haven't got time for games, where is this Oogle Boogle?"

"It is MR. Oogie Boogie to you dolly."

I turned around, seeing a walking sack before me. He grabbed my hand and kissed it lightly "welcome to my palace of doom!"

"Nice...so the kids said you can help me?" I didn't want to be friends with them and decided to keep things short and up to the point. Oogie seem to like my straight forwards answer, unlike the kids. They were frightened of what their boss would do to her. Oogie however wanted them to leave us alone, while he took the dices. "What can I help you with then?" he said, releasing the dices...showing the number 1 on both "You can ask me twice."

"Fair enough. How do I get back home?"

Oogie grinned "That wasn't precise enough...one last question."

"How do I get back to the human world?"

"And why do you want to go there? Oh wait a minute...you have no questions left" he began to laugh historically "I won!"

Now I was mad!

"Listen here, sack face. I didn't come here so you can piss me off; now tell me, how do I get there?!!!" Oogie stopped laughing, and looked at me with interest "Why do want to go there? It is a boring place up there." He threw his dices again "You got four questions." "Drop this dice game and listen to me, I am not a monster. I am a human girl and I have no idea how I got here and suddenly I was dressed up as a witch and..."

"What!!! You...you are that witch?"

I wasn't sure of what to think of this monster, as he giggled at that. On the other hand, I didn't understand his excitement "Yeah, what about it?" "Ha! You ruined Jack's special event? Marvelous, I can finally become the ruler of Halloween Town!!!" I couldn't care less about it and pushed him to answer my previous question.

"I tell you on one condition." "And what would that be?" He leaned in close, till I could see into the empty sockets, which supposed to be his eyes "Don't ever, return to Halloween Town again."

"You have my word!"

"It is a deal then, Lock, Shock Barrel!!!" his minions came down in seconds "Take this doll back home to the human world."

Before we left, he ordered the devil boy to come over to him "and make sure she cannot return back."

"Roger Oogie."

"Now then, I got to get ready. I will make this Town the scariest and the most gruesome place, in the history of Halloween Town!"

The kids, brought me to the same forest I came from, but this time, we went a little further. There are several trees in a circle, with different shapes on them. "What are those?" I asked the witch girl.

"Doors to different worlds" she pointed to the one with an Easter egg on "This is Easter Town."

The skeleton went to one with a Christmas tree on "And this is Christmas town!"

Unfortunately, the excitement was only one sided; as for me only one door mattered "Wonderful...great...and the human world?"

"That one!" they both said, heading to the tree with a pumpkin on.

"Isn't that Halloween Town?"

The witch snapped "Duh, you are already here! You have to go through the door you came in!"

"Alright, Alright, geez! Okay then, it means good bye now."

I waved at them, before opening the door. The strong wind inside that tree sucked me in, till I fell into a strudel. I closed my eyes, once I hit the floor.

I heard the siren of the police car; children playing basketball and the buildings were decorated in lights. It was nighttime...but that didn't matter to me...I was home.
