Sitting in my class, I glance around. Familiar faces meet my eyes, including my older brother Jack's best friend Jack. Yes they have the same name. But we just call my brother Johnson. and Jack Gilinsky Jack. Strange I know. He looks over, and his warm brown eyes meet mine. He gives me a nice smile and turns back to looking to the board. I've known Jack basically my whole life. He's a year older than I am, but since I was ahead academically, I got skipped as grade level. . He's really sweet. I even had a crush on him when I was younger. But it quickly faded when I realized that he only saw me as a little sister. It was completely fine with me honestly. Because if Johnson even thought Jack liked me, he'd have a fit. He'd probably find a way to beat him up, which is funny considering the fact that he is way smaller than Jack.

"Okay class, tonight's assignment is to write a paper on someone you admire. It can be anyone. A family member, friend, dead singer. I don't care. Just write it on someone who you truly admire, and what they do to make you admire them, we'll read them aloud on Friday. Have a nice day" Mr. Scott said, the bell following immediately after. I rose from my seat and grabbed my stuff, making my way to the front of the class to collect a grade report from Mr. Scott. He smiled and handed it to me.

"100, as usual" he said, his eyes beaming at the fact that his youngest student, had never had a grade lower than a 97.

"Why can't more students be as academically talented as you my dear Lia."he said smiling. I returned the smile. It was an insane achievement to even be in this class, considering it was AP level, and that it was a senior class. I was the youngest person to ever be accepted into it, I guess you could say it was a huge achievement.

"No clue Mr. Scott. Thank you though" I replied before dismissing myself. I went to my locker, where my best friend Liv was waiting for me. She twirled her long blonde lock on her finger and smiled at me as I walked up.

"Hey" She said smiling. I grinned when I saw Johnson creep up behind her, they've been dating for about a year, and they were the cutest thing ever. I actually became best friends with her through Johnson, since they were friends when they were younger. Growing up, I was always surrounded by big kids. My parents stopped having kids after me. They had Johnson, and my mom wanted to have a girl immediately, so then I happened. Johnson was always outgoing, the life of the party. Growing up he had the most friends, guys and girls. But I always sat in the distance, content with a coloring book and crayons. But my mom always egged Johnson to take me along, so I wouldn't be alone. That's how I met Liv . She was a friend of Johnson's, and she's a year older than me. But she never treated me like that. She took me under her wing, at the age of 6, and became my first friend. Now she was dating my older brother. Everyone saw it coming since about 7th grade. Then junior year came, and he saw Liv with Matt, the school quarterback and he about flipped shit. They've been together ever since.

"We still meeting up later for dinner? Skate wants to meet with us so he can help us with our beats for our next song" Johnson said. I shrugged because I wasn't exactly fond of Skate. While yes he was good looking, and dating my other best friend Marie, he got my brother into trouble at least once a week. My parents got used to it. I on the other hand hated it. But he made my best friend happy, and my brother hasn't been arrested, so I honestly couldn't complain.

"Cool, Liv and I are leaving right after school, and I know you're probably going to want to do school work or something here, so Jack will drive you after his football practice. Okay? Good" He says before walking away with Liv under his arm, and right out of school.

"Great.." I murmured under my breath before slamming my locker. I had nothing planned, and Jack would be at practice till lord knows what time. I decided it would be a great time to work on that paper Mr. Scott assigned. It was Wednesday, meaning I had two days before it was officially due. So it would be best if I got straight to work. Sitting at a table, I began to ponder my thoughts. Who did I truly admire? I've always been really close to my parents. But everyone was going to write about their parents. Then I thought about Johnson. My older brother who never failed to protect me. So I chose to write about him. After typing and typing for what seemed moments, I looked up and saw Jack smiling at me. Feeling my face grow extremely warm, I looked at my phone which read 6:07 pm.

"Shit how long was I here?" I asked. Jack's smile only grew.

"well, see I finished practice at about 5:30. I showered, that took like 20 minutes, and I knew you would be in here. So I haven't been here long don't worry." He said with reassuring eyes. I packed my stuff and he grabbed my book bag for me, throwing the strap over his shoulder, and stood there waiting for me. Once I packed up, I walked towards him, expecting him to give me my bag. But he didn't he held it, and got his car keys out and placed sunglasses over his eyes. We reached his car and got him. Jack buckled in and threw our stuff in the back, he watched over me as I put my seat belt on, his eyes running over my hands as I moved the seat belt across my chest, and clicked it. He started the car and began driving, handing me the AUX cord, because he knew that I always had it when we all went out. I plugged it in, and pressed shuffle. Often by the weeknd came on. We both began moving our heads slightly to the beat. One thing Jack and I have in common is our tastes in music.

"How is party planning going?" He asked, I was planning mine and Johnsons birthday party. His birthday is March 24th, and mine was back in October, but my parents only agreed to let us throw a party if it was a big one together. So, we agreed, and Johnson dumped the whole thing on me.

"Fine, but I need to find a DJ" I replied.

"I'll ask Dylan Dauzat or Taylor, don't worry I got that" he said smiling. I felt a weight leave my chest.

"Thank you Jack" I said. He smiled at me.

"Anything for my baby." He replied. My stomach fluttered a little at his words. Our group of friends always refer to me as baby, or the baby, but never with the possessive term. But I just brushed it off, because this was Jack we're talking about. And he doesn't like me like that so

Once I got out, He locked the car, seeing it was crowded he grabbed my hand so I wouldn't get lost in the crowd. Johnson and everyone were seated far in the back, and I was only 5'2, so me getting lost in this Chipotle would not be fun. But we were out of the crowd soon enough and I saw the familiar faces of my friends. Marie, seated with Skate. Rae, Skate's little sister was seated next to him, and next to her boyfriend Kian, Christy, seated with Sammy, her boyfriend who was friends with Johnson and Jack, Liv with Johnson, and then Jack and I took our seats at the end of the table. We all got our food and sat.

"Damn, we're all cuffed except you guys" Sammy said, a smirk playing at his lips. Christy hit his arm, because she knew what was about to come from that remark.

"Why don't you two date!" Rae remarked. I groaned inwardly, and Jack kept a small smile on his lips.

"Because Baby don't want me" He said. I smiled slightly.

"Yeah and Baby won't be associated with my best friend and vice versa." Johnson said, draping his arm on Liv's shoulder. She stared at him, and shook her head.

"I think they should date who they want to. You did" She said. He kissed her, I'm guessing to shut her up. And she began swatting him away causing him to smirk.

"Besides, Madison is into Jack" Johnson said, I felt all of this anger build up by just the mention of her name. She was head cheerleader, and an attempted singer. She went around with all of my brothers internet friends, and she was just not a person I was fond of.

"Eh" Jack said shrugging. I felt an unsettling feeling when I saw a familiar brunette walk in.

"Hi guys" Madison sneered
