"Are you really not telling me where were going" I asked.
"Nope" he said. I rolled my eyes. Annoyance and crankiness was kicking in because I was sleep and food deprived.
"Great" I murmured
"Hey hey none of that" Jack said squeezing my hand. Guilt suddenly rushed through me
"I know you're tired and hungry. Just relax though. I want to enjoy this time being alone with you" he said. A small smile crept on to my face.
"You're lucky you're cute" I replied. He threw his head back and laughed
"I try" he said. I raised an eyebrow
"Try for who exactly?" I said
"Oh you know...." he said waving me off. I rolled my eyes.
"Let me find out Gilinsky." I replied reaching for the AUX cord with my free hand. I put my phone on shuffle, and almost is never enough by Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes came on.
We both stayed silent and just listened. I took this time to really look Jack over. He was built. Arms and a toned body that any girl would fall over into bed for. His lips were pink, and formed perfectly. His smile, made me melt every time it was formed. His eyes were one of my favorite things though. How deep set and brown they are. Framed with thick lashes that always made me jealous. And his hair, and tousled perfect mess that my hands never seemed to stay out of. I looked away so he wouldn't catch me staring and I felt myself smile. how did I get so lucky? Yeah it was a first date, but who knew where it would go.
'And we can deny it as much as we want
But in time our feelings will show

Ariana and Nathan sang as Jack and I looked at each other. He gave me a small smile then looked at the road. As the song winded to an end, Jack turned a corner and lights welcomed us.
"Here we are" he said pulling up and parking. we got out and he grabbed my hand, showing me inside. it was a tiny Italian place.
"Outside or inside" the waitress asked
"Definitely outside" Jack said, She led us through the restaurant, which despite its size was beautiful. The walls were white brick and the whole place had a rustic feel to it. Bur when we stepped outside, I could see why Jack picked it. Lights hung, and shines light glittering fairies above us. There was a lake, out in front, and the stars shined brightly above us. She sat us down in the corner near the lake and took our drink orders. When she walked away I looked at Jack, who was already looking at me
"What?" I asked laughing nervously.
"I can't believe I'm even doing this" he replied smiling shyly.
"Doing what? -" I started but he cut me off
"That I'm on a date.... especially with you" he replied. His cheeks growing a pink tint.
"You go on dates don't you?" I asked. He shook his head
"No.. they usually just come over-" he started but I put my hand up signaling I didn't want to hear anything else.
"But they aren't important.. I'm glad the first time is with you" he said. I laughed and he raised an eyebrow
"I'm glad to take your date virginity" I said. Jack began laughing and by then I knew that all traces of first date awkwardness were faded away.

Jack held my hand till the food came. Taking a picture of them and asked me questions about the whole preparation of the show case. When the food came we fell silent. We talked through out about just little things. Our signs. The stars. Jack learned that I wanted to be a writer desperately. And if that hasn't worked then an artist or professional dancer
"You can honestly do anything" he said. I felt myself begin to grow shy.
"I guess"
"No really... I believe in you" he said. I smiled and leaned over the table to kiss him when the owners of the restaurant came over. they were an elderly couple, in their late 60s.
"Hi how is everything?" The wife asked, an Italian accent thick in her voice.
"It's great thank you" Jack said smiling,
"Goooddddd goooodddd. Is this your wife?" She asked. Before I could speak up he did.
"She is. This is Lia. It's our first night out since having our daughter" he said. I smiled politely and kicked his leg under the table
"Oh a baby! Do bring her next time. What's her name? Do you have pictures?" She asked excitedly. He unlocked his phone, and showed her a picture of my baby cousin Sophia who was about two months old.
"Her names Sophia. she's two months and well bring her next time" he said.
"Gonna try for the boy?" The husband asked laughing and hitting Jacks shoulder. Jack laughed nervously and shrugged.
"Trying to get there" he said. I kept the smile on my face but squeezed his hand tightly.
"Well he'll have good looks." he said making us both laugh. Jack soon ended the conversation and erupted into a fit of laughter. I reached over and hit his shoulder.
"A child! Really" I yelled. He wiped a tear from his eye and winked at me.
"One day one day" he said

After we ate, I'll be by John McCain started playing.
"Oh I love this song" I said. I watched as couples made their way to the dance floor and I looked at Jack.
"No no no baby" he said. I pouted
"But I love this song" I said. he shook his head
"I draw the line" he said. I sighed and played with my charm bracelet. Keeping the pout on my face. I heard him groan and stand. I looked up and his hand was out. I smiled and placed mine in his and we made our way to the dance floor. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and he placed his around my waist. He looked completely terrified
"Relax.... I got you" I said. I felt his shoulders drop and him relax as we swayed together with the music.
"See it's not too hard" I said smiling. he looked up at me and smiled. I leaned in and lightly kissed him, then laid my head on his shoulder, just soaking in that moment with Jack.

We drove home and he walked me to my door. He just placed his lips on mine, and I kissed him back gratefully. The feeling of his lips on mine was pure bliss. he pulled away and smiled at me
"See I would say good night, but I'm not leaving" he said. Then I remembered that he was sleeping over with Johnson.
"Well then" I said laughing. He smiled and then kissed me again and I kissed back. I turned and saw him getting a picture for snapchat
"Gosh you're a dork" I said lightly pushing him and going inside, hearing him lock the car and follow me
