Chapter 7

I'm sorry for the long wait, but I hope you all like it...

- Mmm, what hit me?-

That was the first words Danny was able to express and then slowly he opened his eyes to look at his surroundings. Suddenly, Danny felt really confused since he didn't remember how he ended up in a cage in his parent's lab. Of course this cause panic because of his secret and being in his human form didn't help much.

- Okay, Fenton, breathe in and breathe out. Gotta think of the last thing that I can remember.- thought Danny out loud to try and organized his thoughts

Then he remembers what exactly had happen and saw that he wasn't alone. His Dad was just working on the table next to the cage and was looking at Danny with worried eyes. Danny thought that this was a good moment to try to escape and that meant he needed to convince his Dad first.

- Hey, Dad...- started Danny insecurely

- Danny, why?- said Jack in a very serious tone, one that I recognized as Phantom, but not as Fenton

- Why? What...what are you ta...talking about, Dad?- stutter Danny, his instincts screaming to run

- Why do you want to leave us?- continue Jack completely ignoring the fear in Danny

- I wasn't going to leave, plus I don't want to leave my family...- answer Danny, starting strong and finishing in a whisper

- You don't want to? Then, why did you lie to us and tried to look for your brother?- interrogated Jack

- Yes, I lied to you both, but it was out of respect! I wanted to be grateful for this second chance at having a family and the only reason I tried to look for my brother was because I have a blood connection with him! I...I just wanted to know if he was alive and well. Is that too much to ask?- shouted Danny already standing straight and with defiance in his eyes

- Yes, that is too much to ask, because we are your family and you don't need anyone else!- shouted Maddie that had just come back from the other floor

- Mom, how can you say something so cruel?- continue Danny in a more calm voice

- Because is the true and I won't let anyone take you! Danny, this is your home, you don't need anything else.- said Maddie also in a calmer voice

- Please Mom, let me out! I'm not going to run away! Please, I promise!- Danny started begging

- No Danny, this is for your own good. Now, give me your cellphone and empty your pockets.- ordered Maddie while approaching

Danny's face change from terrified to furious, to sad and submissive, and then it became expressionless. He did as he was order to, but was careful while hiding the Fenton Phones with invisibility. As soon as his Mom was satisfied she left him with a few pillows and a blanket, and then she said goodnight as she went out of the lab with Jack. Danny didn't say anything and waiting until he could hear them in their bedroom. That's when Danny was able to take out the Fenton Phones to call his friend and sister, since they needed to make an escape plan as soon as possible.

- Goth Goddess, present!- said Sam

- Tech Master, here!- followed Tucker

- Do I really need to use my codename?- asked an annoyed Jazz

- Jazz!!!- shouted Sam and Tucker mad at her for not following the "protocol"

- Alright, I get it! The Newbie is here!- said Jazz already wanting to end the conversation

- Ghostboy in trouble!- said Danny following the "protocol"

- Okay, how bad? From 1 to 10?- asked Tucker

- 10 and it's not even related to Phantom.- answered Danny knowing that it was better to stay calm and be direct about everything

- Then, how is it such a bad situation?- asked Sam

- Well, this is what happen...- said Danny and then proceeded to tell them all about the situation

20 minutes later and Danny had finished telling them everything. Unfortunately, they lost 10 more minutes in everyone's outburst and Danny was tempted to take the F. Phones off until they were done, but that seem to be too mean. When they were finally finished, they became serious and started to discuss a plan.

- Okay, so why don't you choose one of us to go free you tonight?- asked Sam with a -it's so obvious- kind of voice

- Well, is because I don't want to escape tonight.- explain Danny already waiting for Sam's screams

- WHAT!!! I don't get it! Are you going to wait until they discover about your other half?- shouted Sam with her voice of protest

- No, of course not. Is just that I want to wait until my brother gets here.- continue Danny

- Danny, why are you going to wait for him?- asked Jazz in her overanalyze everything manner

- Because, I think is better if I run away with him.- said Danny like he was just talking about the weather

- WHAT???- shouted Team Phantom

- If you scream in my ear just one more time, I will make you pay.- hissed Danny

- Well, what do you want us to do when you throw a bomb like that?- said Sam in a higher volume of voice, but trying her best to not shout

- Guys, think about it. I can't just escape, return home a few days later and hope that everything goes back to what it used to be.- explain Danny a little exasperated with his friends.

- But, dude, do you really have to run away?- asked an upset Tucker

- Yes, there is no other option. Now, this is what I thought of...- Danny started to explain the plan

The plan was for Tucker to connect with Danny's cellphone and watch for Robin's call, while they (Sam and Tucker) kept calling and texting out of worry and without knowing the actual situation. Soon enough they all were prepared to carry out theirs parts and hoped for the best. Even Danny was preparing himself not only for his brother arrival, but for the departure from his home and the ghost portal.

- I'm so sorry, but I have no choice...- whimpered Danny so quietly into the night it could have been mistaken for the wind
