Episode 12: convention tention

Today is day one of the convention.
Hello everyone and welcome to the wild styles dance convention hosted by the next step.
Today is a very important day because the day is the wild card competition for a spot at regionals.
Another exciting thing happening is that there will be a very special work shop with the world famous..Ditto. Everyone cheers.
And to kick of the convention we have a show case performance by the next step.
At a convention it is pretty similar to a competition.
Performing with my team for the first time in front of people feels really good. It's great to be part of a team like this, I'm having a lot of fun.
While dancing it feels amazing to have everyone around you cheering and clapping. It does feel weird to see Amy now that she's at a different studio and not competing with us anymore.

Joining our esteemed panel of judges today, renowned choreographer, Leon Blackwood.

Good luck to all the teams competing for the wild card spot. First up Denise Lester dancer academy. He says.

Acronation's dance is amazing, who knows we may have to go up against them at regionals.

We are currently waiting to hear the judge's decision to see what team has won the wild card spot.
Can I have everyone's attention please. Thank you guys again for your awesome performances but we've reached a decision and the winner of the wild card spot and the team going to regionals is.... Acronation.

At the end of the day the team and I walk into shakes and ladders where Noah and Jacquie are sitting and Richelle walks in with a cake because Noah turns 18.
Happy birthday! We all say.
Emily then walks in.
It's your birthday? She asks.
Yeah it's my birthday.
And your turned 18.
Yeah big 18.
Not 17.
No 18.
How interesting. Happy birthday. She says and then walks out. It was a little bit weird but we didn't really focus on that and we continued celebrating.
