Episode 16: less beauty, more beast

We're all in studio A when Latroy and Sloane walk in, it's always great to have people come back and see us.
Latroy sees me and hugs me.
So has Ozzy asked you yet? He asks me quietly.
Yes, a couple of month ago now.
Oh so your going strong then. He says laughing.
Of course.
Have you said the 3 beautiful words yet.
No not yet, I'm kind of scared too.
Don't be it's Ozzy he probably fell in love with you like ages ago. He shrugs it off.
Just tell him and I guarantee you he'll say it back with a smile on his face. He says to me.
Honestly I am really scared to tell Ozzy. I've never been in love and what if he doesn't feel the same way?

Do you guys know why we're here? Sloane asks.
So we're each going to choreograph a dance, those dances are going to face off, then we're going to pick the best dancers to represent the next step in the regionals hip hop category.
Okay I may not be the best at hip hop so I guess I won't be as disappointed if I don't get it but at the same time I'm still going to try my hardest because I really want to be featured in a regionals dance.
We're gonna split up the girls and the boys though
and the boys can come with me. Sloane says.
Imma take the girls. Latroy starts dancing. I'm excited to work with Latroy, I never really got to know Sloane so I already know working with him is going to be so much fun.

56,7,8. Latroy is running us through some choreo. While I'm dancing I'm doing everything I can to make it look good. I really badly want this dance so I need to prove it. He's working us really hard but I'm really happy with the dance.

Oh. I find it very funny because they actually do look very similar, but it would be annoying to be in someone else's shadow.

5,6,7,8. Jacquie I'm not seeing the accents, the accents just aren't there. Let me see it again. Great. Blonde Jacquie get on over here. I need you to be a little less beauty and little bit more beast. Your still smiling though. Latroys says while half laughing. I feel a little bad for Davis because I know when she gets nervous she can't stop smiling and for this dance she can't smile. So I reckon it'll challenger her a little bit. Latroy tells us all to take five when Davis forgets the choreo. Hopefully she can pick it up, loose the smile and she'll be all good to go.

I'm grabbing a juice from shakes and ladders and I'm about to meet Ozzy because we're all on a little break and I wanna see how their routine is going.
Hey sweet cheeks. Ozzy says as he stands next to me.
What? What in the world did he just call me?
Nothing don't even worry about it, I don't know why I just called you that.
I start laughing. Hanging with Ozzy is always great, we laugh, we mess around and over all just have a good time together.
So how's rehearsal going? I ask.
Um I got paired with Kingston and he tried to join Noah, Henry and Finn instead.
Why would he do that?
What is going on with Kingston, normally he's Ozzy's best friend, now he's just being rude.
I honestly don't know, he's been a real jerk to me lately. How's rehearsal going for you?
It's actually not too bad. Latroys amazing and the dance is great and we are definitely going to beat you.

Ok I think we should have a bet.
What sort of bet.
Well if I get picked I get to teach you how to play legions of lasers this weekend because I still haven't shown you because you've been avoiding it, or if you get picked we can do something you wanna do.

Okay I want to go bungee jumping. I say to him. He puts his head down in defeat.
Okay you know what let's not make a bet. He says clearly changing his mind.
No you suggested it now we have to. If you get picked I'll sit with you all weekend and play legions of lasers with you or you come bungee jumping with me.
I really hope I get picked now, not gonna lie sitting there watching him play legions of laser is pretty boring. Bungee jumping is exciting, even though I know he has a slight fear of heights. It'll be fun.

Okay then you have a deal. He says.
We shook our hands and he spun me round and pushed me to walk out the door.
Go rehearse that dance that isn't going to win.
I turn back around to face him.
You watch out, you'll be bungee jumping before you know it. I say as I walk out.

We're back early from our break and we all want to impress Latroy. This dance has to be perfect.
I love Davis but she is smiling a lot.
Jacquie and I are running the dance together when Davis walks over.
Jacquie will you be able to help me with my hip hop?
Did you hear him? I have so much work to do. I don't have time to help you. Look today your not my sister, your my competition so just let me practice.
I hear bits of the conversation and I do feel a little bad for Davis but at the same time, we all want this just as much as her, so we all have to work our best. We can't get anywhere if someone is helping us constantly. Plus I believe in Davis she just needs to cut the smile and she'll be fine.

The girls and I are waiting in studio A for the boys to arrive and there a little late. Sloane is standing there with a smile on her face as we all wait.
Did they forfeit?
Boys?
I think there scared.
We all start saying sarcastically.
All of sudden music starts playing and Noah comes out of nowhere and starts flipping. All the boys come from different directions and start their dance. Honestly the dance is amazing, Ozzy is really killing it, he's improved so much.
Maybe I might have to sit and play legions of laser.

Girls!
I am not loosing this spot. Davis is dancing on a whole other level. I don't know what's gotten into her but I like it. This dance is going amazing, I've never done hip hop this well. Look out Ozzy cause you may just be going bungee jumping.
Our dance has a lot of style and we're having so much fun doing it and it really shows.

Soon enough we'll know we're going bungee jumping or I'll be bored to death playing a video game. I say to Ozzy as he comes and stands next to me.
Okay I think you'll actually really like the game if you actually play it not watch it. I will give it to you though you were pretty amazing out there. He says.

Okay so the six dancers that we picked. I feel Ozzy grab my hand. I'm not sure if it's nerves or excitement.
Are Noah, Kenzie, Henry, Summer, Harper. Looks like we're going bungee jumping after all.
and the last spot goes to... Jacquie.

No it's okay you got picked, that was our bet.
Um maybe Saturday. You know what right after that we're gonna play legions of lasers.
But I didn't get picked.
I don't care. You wanted me to play so we're gonna play. I don't care if I have to duct tape you to your seat, we are going to play.
Okay then.
We then sit there a for more minutes just talking about regionals and everything. Until we decide to head home. I feel bad Ozzy is really trying he's hardest and he has improved a lot I just don't see why he isn't getting picked.
