Chapter 25: Fresh Start

Sammy's POV~

Jessie and I took a cab to our houses together.

"So, what's your last name?," Jessie asked.

"Jones," I told him.

"Sammy Jones, like the girl on that MagCon tour?," he asked.

"Well, I am that girl, I needed a break from the tour, so now I'm staying with my aunt," I told him.

We took a selfie together and then I posted it to my social media pages.

The caption read: Hanging out with my new bestie!!✌

Kenny's POV~

I checked my social media pages. Sammy posted a photo.

"Guy's, Sammy posted a photo," I told everyone.

"Oh thank god, she's still alive," Matt said.

"She was never not alive," Carter said, giving Matt a weird look.

"Who's that guy?," Kaytlin asked.

"Apparently his name is Jessie," Tyler said.

She had a smile on her face, but you could see the pain in her eyes.

"Where's Daniel?," Hayes asked.

"With Annabelle (his girlfriend)," Mahogany said as she rolled her eyes.

"I can't believe him, he just crushed his ex best friend for the second time and he's hanging out with his girlfriend? That's f****d up," Gilinsky said.

Sammy's POV~

"Aunt Cindy! I'm here!," I exclaimed.

"Sammy! I'm so happy to see you!," my Aunt Cindy exclaimed.

She rushed over to me and gave me a huge hug.

"I heard you met Aunt Lucy! Tell me about that story," she said.

I told her all about that story and then the tour.

"I'm so sorry about you and Daniel," she said.

"Yeah, it's hard, you know? I let him back in after all he has done to me, only to have him break me again," I said as a few tears slipped out.

"Why don't you go upstairs to your room and relax," she suggested.

"Yeah, you're right," I said.

I grabbed my bags and went up to my new room. I heard a tapping sound on my window. I walked over to it and saw Jessie.

"Hey," I said.

"Hey, are you okay?," he asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I said.

"So, when's your first day of school?," he asked.

"Sadly, tomorrow," I said.

"Cool, we can walk together," he said.

"Okay, well I'm going to bed," I said.

"Good night Sammy", he said.

"Good night Jessie," I said as I closed my window.

I changed my clothes and then fell asleep right when my head hit my pillow.

~Next Day~

I got ready for school. Once I was done, I ate breakfast then went outside. Jessie was waiting for me.

"Ready?," he asked.

"Definitely," I said.

"Not too shabby," he said as he checked out my outfit.

"Thanks?," I said, but it came out as more of a question.

"So, are you nervous?," he asked.

"Not really, this is my fourth school, but my first actual high school," I said.

"What do you mean?," he asked.

"For most of my freshman year I did online school," I told him.

We talked for the rest of the way to school.

~Skip to Lunch~

"Hey, Sammy!," Jessie exclaimed.

I turned and saw him... with a bunch of guy's.

"Hey," I said awkwardly.

He introduced me to his friends. Turns out that they were all on the football team together. Jessie and I took a bunch of selfie's together and I posted them on my social media pages.

Hayes' POV~

Our phones were booming with notifications that Sammy was posting photos. We looked and she was with Jessie again.

"Is that her boyfriend or something?," Daniel asked.

"I don't know, but it doesn't involve you," I said.

I was still pretty pissed about what he did to Sammy, but I bet he was hurting right now, seeing this guy who wasn't ugly with Sammy. In some of them she had a big smile on her face or was laughing. One that I knew would kill Daniel was where Jessie was kissing Sammy's cheek. I missed her like crazy, but I was glad she was happy. At least she looked happy, she may be hurting deep down.

Sammy's POV~

Jessie and I were walking home when I got a call. There was no caller ID, but I answered any way.

"Hello," I said.

"Sammy, hey," Hayes said.

"Oh my gosh! Hayes! I miss you and the other's so much! Wait, why are you calling? Is everything okay? Is Kenny okay? What's going on?," I rambled on.

Hayes chuckled.

"Everything's okay, I just missed you and your weirdness," he said.

"So, how is everybody?," I asked.

"They're fine, we all miss you though," he said.

"I miss you guy's sooooooo much!," I exclaimed.

"So, we saw that you made a new friend," he said.

"Yeah, that's Jessie, he's kind of a loser if you ask me," I joked.

Hayes' POV~

I had Sammy on speaker phone, I just made sure no one made any sound.

"Yeah, that's Jessie, he's kind of a loser if you ask me," she joked.

"Ah, Jessie, stop t-tickling m-me!," she shrieked.

"Okay, I have to go, my aunt needs my help! Bye! I love you!", she exclaimed.

"Love you too," I said.

We hung up.

"Well, she sounds happy," Kaytlin said.

"Yeah," Tyler said.

"Hey, her birthday is coming up, we can make a video and get her a present and Kenny can send it out," Cam said.

"How am I supposed to know where she is?," Kenny asked.

"Because your mom told you," Mahogany said.

"How did you know?," he asked.

"Because you just told us," she said.

Ooh, she's good.
