Lily's Pov
Days passed without knowing what to do. Day by day it started to get annoying to me. I'm almost so sick of my life at this point. I wish I had a chance to die.
I don't dare to do so. I don't think death is a good solution for your hardships. But sometimes it is just not a solution but a way to run away from everything that you are so sick of having.
No matter what you achieved by living as a human being if you don't see your happiness there is no life.
I don't see myself enjoying living on this island in any way. If there is a way to escape from here I wonder.
Sometimes when I see others who are just like me, stuck in here I can't help but feel bad.
Every time I looked at the sea my mind filled with memories of mama papa Eve Kai. Eve always hates to do school works. She did everything to ignore school works and that was so cute. Sometimes Kai scolded her for ignoring school works. There was a significant amount of time that she had missed classes.
Her passion was to become a painter. When every time we were somewhere chilling she never forget to draw us. It was always me and Kai in her paintings. She rarely painted herself. They say that pictures can not speak but in her paintings, I heard and felt that feeling I was feeling when we were at the scene.
If she was here with me today she would probably draw me and Kai. Unfortunately, we didn't get to visit the beach that much. She loved to visit the beach side but she always prioritized me and Kai when it comes to making a decision.
I was sitting on a rock on the shore. This place was a huge relief to me. Maybe I was hoping to see Kai and Eve come to take me just like then. I had a hope that they might be able to find it so then I was waiting for them.
Today's shore is rough. It looks like tonight there might be a storm. Then the boat won't come today. When I realized that, I felt a sudden loneliness.
I stood up as I can walk away from that feeling. I just can't do that how am I supposed to do it? That loneliness is just following me everywhere.
Though I wanted to go home I was still standing and waiting for a boat. These feelings make me weak. I hope I was able to see them at least once before I die.
I spent another few minutes before leaving still couldn't get myself to think I got no chance seeing them.
As soon as I entered the room, the smell of Martha's pasta was all around the room.
"Wow, it smells so good. " I walked to the dining table.
"You like it right? I made pasta only for you. Wait I'll make some soup." Martha said with a smile on her face.
Martha was the only one that I was able to keep in contact with. She was so nice to me. Maybe Papa paid so much money for her. She often bought me books to read and taught me handcraft. She was a person that I could rely on without thinking too much.
I was looking outside the window maybe for an hour. I saw the shore slowly begin to push waves harder. It was pretty dark outside and so loud since the waves were so rough.
"Little Marsa, come now we can have dinner." I felt excited when I heard about dinner. I ran to the dining table and start to dig up.
It was pretty hard to find something to feel fresh and excited about here. Because every day and everything is pretty much the same.
Sometimes when a boat arrives or when we go to the farmer's market it feels a little exciting. Or else life was boring but calm and if I had Eve and Kai here with me this would be the best life for us. Without any stress. As Eve always wanted.
After finishing dinner I decided to take a shower. The warm water felt so good when it was feeling cold and stormy weather around you. I was in the shower for almost an hour and when I finished and walked into the room I saw Martha was sleeping in her room.
"God it's 1.15 in the freaking morning." I was so surprised about the time. Here when we don't have anything to do day feels like the whole week, but when we got to do something time is as fast as light.
" I was just taking a shower, and now I don't even have much time to sleep" I walked to my bed complaining, but suddenly I realized that I have no reason to wake up in the morning. And that gave me the feeling of goodness.
Usually, it's hard for me to sleep at night. Despite this fact, I want to sleep like a log. So as always, I was looking out of the window. Probably that was the roughest storm I have ever seen. It was raining so hard that sound filled my ears till I barely could hear anything else. As the strong wind blows, waves are ripped apart and thrown onto the rocks making them splash all over.
As I was stuttering over the scenario outside I saw a light in the middle of the sea reaching the Iland. "No way, is that a boat? Nah! It can't be. No. No." but a blurred light kept getting closer to the shoreline proving that was a feeling boat that was heading to the island.
"What the fuck?" I was wondering and questioning my existence on the island. I couldn't help but be curious about what is going on outside.
I jumped out of bed and silently opened the front door and ran down towards the ferry. I stopped in a distance and watched a few people abroad.
"That doesn't look like Islanders. Must be outsiders." It's been three weeks since the last time a boat arrived. And this time there were a quiet few people abroad Seems like a young couple.
As the wind blow harder and harder it was too hard for me to stand outside. I was soaking wet and my umbrella was driving me crazy as it was dying beaten by the blasting winds. I was trying to figure out what was happening on the deck. But I couldn't find a person as they camouflage like they were blown away by the winds. I also head back to my room thinking they might head to the hostel near the deck.
......................................................................
It was an amazing experience last night. I wasn't able to take my mind off it.
"Last night was like Pirates of the Caribbean " I was laughing at myself enjoying tea.
"Why what happened last night hm, Little Marsa?" Martha might have seen my laughter and asked.
"Nah nothing I was just enjoying the morning. Why is that wrong since nobody here is enjoying their freaking morning, ?" I savagely asked Martha to hide my true feelings.
"I guess you saw the boat that arrived at midnight right, you might think it's like a movie." As Martha said that I got goosebumps.
"What?" I almost choked my tea.
"Why isn't that true?" She asked me laughing, probably because she was enjoying teasing me.
"How......! I'm so done with you. you are getting on my nerves. I just hate it so much" I put my mug on the table and walked away as Martha was still laughing so hard.
"God she is quite something " I cupped my head to within hand, shaking hard.
Though I kind of enjoyed last night, somehow it felt a little odd. No matter how much I tried to take it off of my mind it was so still on me.
