Chapter 23 Kai

Kai's pov

Since we decided to escape from home Eve started to act randomly. Sometimes she cries, sometimes she is so tough, sometimes she doesn't wanna do this anymore, and sometimes she is more eager than me to get Lily.

I can understand she feels confused, this is something we had never done before. She might have felt like she is running for a miracle. The same goes for me. I don't even know what to do next. Everything is so random. Nothing goes according to the plan probably we don't have a proper plan.

However, we have done what we have done. Nothing can change it now. If we wanted to stop we could have stopped it way before now it's too late to go back.

When she was crying on my hands I felt like I would lose her. I felt so eager to keep her in between my hands. Squeezing into a warm tight hug. But no this is not the time. She shouldn't have come outside of the vehicle. This is a dangerous area.

When I realized that she could have been kidnapped by someone I was in a rage. She can not act recklessly. That's why I scolded her. But she took it seriously. When she showed me missed calls from our parents, I understood why she was so scared at that moment. She might think that her papa got caught me. I can understand that fear. She has suffered from it once it's no surprise she is scared to face it once again. So am I.

No matter how much I stared at her, she never spoke a word. I felt impatient to hear a word from her but she had no intention of speaking a fucking word to me. What should I do? I was thinking about how to make up with Eve the whole time I didn't even realize that we were already headed to the port.

I looked at Eve once I parked the car. But still, she was looking outside of the window.

"Eve?" I tried to hold her hand but she took it away.

"Eve wait until I come back. Please don't come outside. I can not risk losing you, I beg you" I tried to convince her to not get out of the car but I don't know how much she cared about what I said.

I was unsure of what she was thinking but I had no choice but leave her inside the car. I walked to the boat that was at the port and asked for some information about the island and how to get there. It doesn't seem to be an easily accessible island. I felt hopeless when I heard it was impossible to get there tonight.

"I need to get to the island, please help us. We don't have anywhere to sleep at least. You know we are travelers. We love adventure no matter the price we want some crazy adventure. That's all." I tried my best to get him to take us to the island as soon as possible.

In the end, he agreed to take us to the island for a huge price. However, we had to get to the island, so I agreed. As soon as he agreed I ran to the car to get Eve before the Captain change his mind.

"Eve let's go we have no time, hurry up" I grabbed my backpack as she did the same. We ran to the boat.

"Okay thank you anyway for taking us there. " as I said Eve smiled at the person on the boat.
