Chapter 21 Kai

Burn it all part 02

Kai's Pov

Since the very beginning, I knew this is going to be very hard. But I tried my best to hang it in there. Over time with the amount of pressure put on my shoulders, I eventually lost control. I felt hate and anger towards everyone. Even about Evelyn. I was thinking that it was so unfair to me to have all the burden on me.

I lost my sanity when Eve started to accuse me of not being faithful to them. I did everything to find Lily when Eve escaped from everything and left me alone. Now she accuses me of not being able to get things done as she wanted.

I grabbed her and ran to the rooftop. I had nothing on my mind. I just act as if I felt so much rage inside of my mind.

I was unconscious when I dragged my gun out.

"Kai. God's sake what the hell is this?" Her mom also screamed.

"Kai. What is this?"
"Kai, what do you think you are doing?"
"Kai"
"Kai control yourself, man"
"God please save my daughter what is happening?"

"What's going on?"
"Kai, are you crazy?
"Kai has lost his mind?"
"Someone, please call the police."
"Help them"

Before it was only Evelyn but now everyone is talking and talking. How am going to respond to them all? I'm so sick of this shit. FUCK YOU ALL!

"Kai please calm down. We can feature everything no one will force you to do anything. So just, please sent Evelyn down and get down here" I heard Dad try to talk to me. but I had no mind listening to anyone.

I felt so frustrated when I heard his voice. They planned everything together, and now they want reconciliation. I needed someone to take all the blame for me. All I see was Eve who was trying hard to keep me calm. But I just let all my frustration on her. Without thinking much about her feelings.

"No, because of this bitch I had to spend all my life thinking I love her. Do you know why? My life mission is to win over her and marry her. So y'all can build your damn business together.
But this bitch never liked me no matter how hard I tried to please her. I'm so done. I lost my dignity and my sanity. Now I don't who I am anymore. What do you want me to do? Huh? Sent her down. No. I rather kill this bitch here and kill myself too. So then one can hurt anymore" When I screamed like that I saw she was holding her tears.

I wanted to hold her in my arms. Share all of her pain. Before I broke down and give up she lowered her head and cried out loud. Letting all the pressure wash out by the tears then slowly reached her hand and grabbed my leg and hugged me. When I saw she was breaking into pieces I regretted every single word I said about her.

Because all I have said was a big fucking lie. I knew that with or without my dad's order I'll end up loving Eve. Because since the first day, I saw her face. It was an endless river of emotions I had in my mind for her.

I was staring at Eve constantly. But I had no intention of harming her. I was lost in my feelings. Thinking about what to do.

But suddenly I heard Eve's papa calling me. He had his vigorous but deep evil tone in his voice.

"Kai I swear to God if something happens to Eve I won't leave you alive," Papa said. It was more than enough warning for me to stop putting on this act any longer. But I chose to continue. I chose the hardest way to get through this.

I grabbed Evelyn's hair and forcefully dragged her into my grip. She was struggling to breathe but I showed no mercy.

"If anyone orders me to do fucking thing I swear I'll kill her right here right now" I triggered the pistol and pointed it at her right temple.

"Kai, no...! " everyone was screaming at the top of their lungs. But Eve had no words. Maybe she had already accepted her fate.

"Sorry, my little Rose" I whispered to her ear as she looked at me with terrified eyes.

"No KAIIIIII!" Dad screamed as Eve's papa pulled his gun out and pointed it toward us.

As he pointed a gun at us I pulled the trigger of the gun and shoot a shot at Eve's right arm. She screamed out of pain holding my hand so tightly. Blood started to flow out of her wound.

I didn't care about her pain a bit. I only worried about people who were pointing guns at us. Because I knew making up this small wound probably gonna save not only me but all three of us and the whole future that we have ahead of us.

As soon as I shot at Eve I saw all the bodyguards hold their positions. And Eve collapsed on the ground. When others tried to come up to the rooftop I randomly shoot everywhere without thinking twice.

It was a mess at the moment. Everyone was running and hiding for their lives. So I reloaded and shot another few random shots.

With the triggered crowd no one was able to concentrate on me and Eve. Even bodyguards weren't able to hold their positions.

I took the opportunity to take Eve down. I held Eve's face.

"Evelyn we must go. It's now or never" I said holding her hand.

She didn't say anything but put all her strength together and stood up putting her pain aside.

We ran down the stairs. Suddenly Eve started to take off her fancy dress. She pulled it out and throw it away. When she took it off she left with barely any clothes. I randomly grabbed a long coat that was on a chair. Probably belong to a guest.

She covered her body with it and ran out of the main door and we mixed with the crowd who were running for their lives. we ran passed our parents who were still confused and weren't able to find where we were.

Eve's papa and bodyguards ran into the mansion. When we walked past them tears were rolling down our eyes. This could be the last time we might be able to see them. Eve was so concerned about her mom at one point she even refused to escape.

"I can't leave my mom like that Kai" She stopped and looked at me.

"Mom is fine Eve if we stopped there will be no turning back. We won't be able to see each other at least." She looked at me with helpless eyes. Crying even harder.

We were able to pass through the gate but had to run without stopping because sooner they will find out that we are not in the mansion.

"We have to keep on going, Eve. " as I said she nodded her head.

We ran to the main road without stopping for a moment or without looking back.

I was able to catch a taxi and we got on it. I asked the taxi driver to take us to our mansion because we had to get some necessary things.

"Okay, you go and get your stuff I'll come in my car. Wait for me at the back street." I kissed her forehead before getting out of the car.

Without wasting a minute I sneaked into my room through a window and grabbed the bag I prepared earlier. I threw all my cards, phone, and my jewelry in case I had a tracker on them, then collected some cash and walked out of the mansion. I had already hidden my car nearby the road to take it easy.

I got in the car and drove at high speed to get Eve. I saw eve was standing nearby Street carrying a big baggage.

"Get in Eve God I was worried to my death until I see you." I hugged Eve as soon as she got into the car.

"What are we gonna do now," she asked me anxiously.

"We must straight go to get Lily. By the time your Papa might have understood our plan." I put the car on the road and drove to the port to get a boat to go to the island as soon as possible.
