Bucky and Nora watch Oliver and Emilie swirl around on the dance floor as they sip their wine.
"Aren't they cute?" She giggles.
He turns to her, seeing her cheeks flush. He leans over and kisses her, and then his phone buzzes on the table. He turns it over to see Sam's name pop up. Nora smiles and leans over, burying her face in the crook of his neck.
"Save the world text, or a different text?"
"Just Sam checking in." Bucky blushes. "I, uh, kind of told him everything."
"Well, he's your best friend. I'd expect nothing less," Nora replies.
Bucky chuckles and picks up his phone, opening the text message while Nora sips her wine and kisses him on the cheek. He doesn't care if she reads them. Bucky doesn't have a damn thing to hide from her, not anymore at least.
[Sammy]: How'd it go?
She loves me too.
"Damn right I do," she murmurs.
Bucky turns his head and beams.
"I love you too."
[Sammy]: YES! BISHOP OWES ME ANOTHER FIFTY BUCKS!
"They bet on us?"
"Yeah," Bucky laughs, embarrassed. "Sorry."
"No, don't be! I'm proud of them! And us!" She raises her hand. "We should high five for figuring it out."
Bucky laughs and gently pats her palm with his metal one, and then Nora locks fingers with him and kisses each one, her eyes sparkling. She looks so beautiful with the light bouncing off of her face and making her glow like an angel. Bucky "helped" her do her makeup in the mirror this morning. It wasn't that hard, he just had to hand her her eyeliner, and five different kinds of brushes for her face. It kind of felt like helping his dad fix a car, but he managed pretty well. He also held her hair up for her while she curled it.
Nobody other than Amanda said a word about his black eye when he showed up at the wedding— or the cut on his lip. Jackie was just glad that he arrived in one piece, and in a suit that wasn't covered in blood.
The wedding was short, but very sweet. Oliver and Emilie seem so in love that even Bucky had a tear in his eye as he watched them exchange their vows.
He couldn't take his eyes off of Nora for a lot of the ceremony, as he watched from the audience. She wore a gorgeous violet dress that hugged her in all the right places— her soft hips and her little tummy that he loves to kiss each morning while she giggles beneath him.
